After tallying a base hit in each of his last two games, Ritter will take a seat to begin Saturday's contest. Tyler Freeman will take over as Colorado's second baseman, allowing Yanquiel Fernandez to start as the DH.

Adames went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk and a run scored in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Dodgers.
After going 0-for-13 across 17 plate appearances in his previous four games, Adames lined a double to right field in the seventh inning before coming around to score the Giants' final run. The shortstop is batting .211 with 10 RBI, five runs scored, three homers, three stolen bases and a 28.6 percent strikeout rate across 70 plate appearances in September. Overall, he's slashing .226/.318/.421 with 89 runs scored, 82 RBI, 28 long balls and 11 stolen bases in 650 plate appearances over 152 games.

Braves' Ha-Seong Kim: Swats fourth homer
Kim went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Friday's win over the Tigers.
The infielder took Chris Paddack deep in the eighth inning as part of a 10-1 rout. Kim has hit safely in seven straight games, batting .423 (11-for-26) over that stretch, and in 16 games since joining Atlanta he's slashing .316/.375/.439 with two of his four homers on the season, and 10 of his 15 RBI.

Cubs' Dansby Swanson: Goes deep in loss
Swanson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-4 loss to the Reds.
Swanson connected for his first home run in two weeks, giving him 23 long balls for the season. That's the most by the Chicago shortstop in his time with his team, as he hit 22 homers in 2023 and 16 homers last year. Swanson's career high in home runs is 27, which he recorded back in 2021 while playing for Atlanta. The 31-year-old also has 76 RBI and 17 stolen bases this season to round out his stat line.

Reds' Elly De La Cruz: Ends homer drought
De La Cruz went 1-for-2 with two walks and a solo home run in Friday's 7-4 win over the Cubs. He was also caught stealing.
De La Cruz helped break a 4-4 tie in the seventh inning when he hit the second of back-to-back home runs. The blast, his 20th of the season, was his first since July 31. In those 43 games in between homers, De La Cruz slashed .205/.255/.290 with just 10 RBI.

Abrams went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 12-6 loss to the Mets.
Abrams smacked an RBI double in the third inning before adding a two-run homer in the fifth. The long ball was the shortstop's first since Aug. 23, and he's now on a modest four-game hitting streak despite batting just .238 in 16 September contests. For the season, he's slashing .264/.323/.442 with 18 home runs, 58 RBI, 89 runs scored and 31 steals across 604 plate appearances.

Mets' Francisco Lindor: Sparks offense in win
Lindor went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, one RBI and four runs scored in Friday's 12-6 win over the Nationals.
Lindor scored each time he reached base and broke a 4-4 tie with an RBI single in the fourth inning. The shortstop is now riding an eight-game hitting streak, piling up 12 runs in that span. On the season, he's slashing .268/.344/.456 with 27 homers, 79 RBI, 111 runs scored and 30 steals across 694 plate appearances.

Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Reaches 20-homer mark
Betts went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-3 win over the Giants.
Betts stalled out with a month-long power drought from July 6 to Aug. 6, but he was able to turn things around in a big way. He reached the 20-homer mark Friday after missing that plateau last year. He's smacked six long balls and supplied 19 RBI over his last 15 contests, a span in which he's hitting a stellar .339 (21-for-62). Overall, Betts has a .260/.328/.413 slash line with 79 RBI, 93 runs scored, 22 doubles, two triples and eight stolen bases over 143 games.

Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Set for Monday return
Bogaerts' (foot) on-field workout Friday was rained out, and he is now expected to rejoin the Padres on Monday for the start of a three-game series against Milwaukee, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Bogaerts was on track to return this weekend, but Friday's rainout delayed his progression, and his return date has been pushed back to Monday. The shortstop has been a full participant in baseball activities but is completing a running progression.
