  • Ronny Mauricio 2B | NYM

Mets' Ronny Mauricio: Wrapping up solid July

Mauricio is slashing .274/.330/.405 through 22 games in July for Low-A Columbia with one home run, one stolen base in four attempts and a 6:18 BB:K.

While the 18-year-old hasn't been setting the world on fire in the Sally League, posting a wRC+ of 104 as a teenager in full-season ball is still impressive. Mauricio remains the No. 1 fantasy prospect in the Mets' system, and while he's still likely a few years away from the majors, he could put together a breakout at any time if the rest of his skill set starts to catch up to his hit tool.

  • Braves' Braden Shewmake: Strong start to pro career

Shewmake is slashing .318/.378/.453 through his first 36 games for Low-A Rome with one home run, four steals and a 13:22 BB:K.

The 21st overall pick in the 2019 draft, Shewmake's age (21 years old) and college background make his early success in the Sally League less of a surprise than the expected outcome, but it's still a lot better than the alternative. Atlanta is leaving him at shortstop for now, but a shift down the defensive spectrum remains possible as Shewmake fills out and matures.

  • Tommy Edman 2B | LAD

Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Pair of steals in win

Edman went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases in a win over the Cubs on Tuesday.

Edman did a nice job setting the table out of the leadoff spot on a couple of occasions, even though the Cardinals weren't able to drive him home in either. The rookie has reached safely in seven consecutive starts and continues to offer well-balanced contributions at the plate, as evidenced by his four doubles, two triples, four home runs and six stolen bases overall across his first 121 big-league plate appearances.

Nationals' Trea Turner: Pops ninth homer

Turner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to Atlanta.

Arcia collected his third single in the eighth inning and came around to score Milwaukee's first run on a single off the bat of Yasmani Grandal. The three-hit game was his third of the season and snapped a cold spell in which he had collected only four hits over his previous 43 at-bats.

  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Goes yard again

Rojas went 1-for-4 with a walk, a two-run home run and a second run scored in Monday's 11-6 win over the Diamondbacks.

With the trade deadline looming, the 30-year-old has picked the right time to get hot if Miami is thinking about moving him.
