Johan Camargo SS | SF
Braves' Johan Camargo: Swats fourth homer
Camargo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Phillies.
The 25-year-old has started four straight games with Dansby Swanson (foot) sidelined, but Sunday's blast has been Camargo's only hit during that stretch. He's now slashing a tepid .226/.255/.362 on the season with four homers and 23 RBI in 184 plate appearances, and should return to a bench role once Swanson is healthy.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Snaps brief dry spell
Crawford went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 7-6 win over San Diego.
Crawford had gone 0-for-9 over his previous three contests, but he brought that brief cold streak to an end with his fourth multi-hit effort this month. The veteran shortstop has been playing his best ball in July, slashing .274/.369/.493 with four homers and 17 RBI across 20 games.

Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Homers in second straight contest
Rojas went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored Sunday against the Diamondbacks.
Rojas kicked off the scoring in this one in the first inning with a solo homer to left field. Thought power isn't typically one of the 30-year-old's strengths, he's now left the yard in back-to-back contests, putting him at three home runs through 99 games this season.

Johan Camargo SS | SF
Braves' Johan Camargo: Fourth consecutive start
Camargo will start at shortstop and bat eighth Sunday against the Phillies.
The Braves have settled on Camargo as the primary replacement at shortstop while Dansby Swanson (foot) is stuck on the injured list. With zero hits in 13 at-bats while starting the past three contests, Camargo has yet to take advantage of the opportunity afforded him. For his part, Swanson said he expects to be sidelined for close to the minimum 10 days, leaving Camargo with little time to get his bat going.

Nick Ahmed SS | TEX
Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Slugs grand slam
Ahmed went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and five RBI in Saturday's 9-2 win at Miami.
Ahmed provided the Diamondbacks with a 6-1 lead during the fourth inning with his one-out grand slam, the second of his career. The 29-year-old had only two extra-base hits in 13 games since the All-Star break entering Saturday, though he did have a .293 average in that stretch.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Braves' Dansby Swanson: Hoping for brief stay on IL
Swanson (foot) is hoping to return from the injured list when first eligible Aug. 3, Gabe Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Swanson is currently on the injured list with a right foot contusion, but it doesn't sound like his stay on the shelf will be an extended one. As of now, the Braves don't anticipate Swanson needing more than the minimum 10 days to recover.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Braves' Dansby Swanson: Lands on IL
Swanson was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a right foot contusion.
The injury was previously reported to be heel soreness, but the club is labeling it as a bruised foot. It sounds like a situation where Swanson just needs some time to rest and recover. Johan Camargo should slot in as the everyday shortstop in the short term.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Braves' Dansby Swanson: Still out Friday
Swanson (heel) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Phillies.
Swanson was scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to heel soreness and will require at least one more day to rest up. Johan Camargo will start at shortstop at bat seventh Friday in his absence.
-
Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Day off Friday
Edman is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Astros.
Edman started seven of the last eight games but will take a seat Friday after posting a .744 OPS in that stretch. Yairo Munoz will start at the hot corner and bat leadoff in his stead.
-
Trevor Story SS | BOS
Rockies' Trevor Story: Rare day off Friday
Story is out of the lineup for Friday's game at Cincinnati.
Story started all 19 previous games in July and has an .871 OPS with five home runs in 76 at-bats, but he'll receive a breather for Friday's series opener. Garrett Hampson will start at shortstop and bat seventh in his absence.
