Francisco Lindor SS | NYM
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Has three hits, two RBI in win
Lindor went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a walk in Sunday's win over the Pirates.
Lindor delivered a clutch hit off Aroldis Chapman with the bases loaded and two outs in the ninth to give his team the win Sunday. Lindor continued his resurgence that has covered the last two months, during which he is hitting .277/.335/.492 with 10 homers, 34 RBI and 12 stolen bases over his last 58 games. After a forgetful April, the four-time All-Star has 22 multi-hit games since the beginning of May, which is tied for the fifth-most in MLB in that span.

Xavier Edwards 2B | MIA
Marlins' Xavier Edwards: Taking hold of regular role
Edwards will start at shortstop and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the White Sox.
Since being called up from Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, Edwards has picked up six straight starts while stepping in as the club's new everyday shortstop in place of Tim Anderson, who was designated for assignment. Edwards has gone 6-for-19 with a double, two walks, three runs and one RBI over his first five starts, and so long as he can keep turning in productive at-bats, he should have a stranglehold on a regular role. The 24-year-old hasn't made an impact on the basepaths yet, but he stole five bags in 119 plate appearances at Triple-A earlier this season and recorded 37 steals between 123 games with Jacksonville and the Marlins in 2023.

Oneil Cruz CF | PIT
Pirates' Oneil Cruz: Taking seat against lefty Sunday
Cruz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
The shortstop was hit by an Edwin Diaz fastball in the ninth inning Saturday, but there's been no indication Cruz sustained a significant injury from being plunked. Even so, the Pirates will give the lefty-hitting Cruz the afternoon off Sunday while southpaw Sean Manaea takes the hill for the Mets. Jared Triolo will check in at shortstop for Cruz, who had started in each of the previous six games while going 8-for-22 with two home runs, one double, three walks, one stolen base, five RBI and three runs.

Ha-seong Kim SS | ATL
Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Tallies three hits, RBI
Kim went 3-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's loss to Arizona.
Kim opened the bottom of the fifth with a leadoff double and eventually advanced to third before being left stranded. However, he came right back with hits in each of his next two trips to the plate, driving home Donovan Solano with a double in the eighth to tie the game at 4-4. It marked Kim's second three-hit performance this season and his 13th multi-hit game overall. The shortstop has now hit safely in 11 of his last 14 games, though he's still batting just .222 (4-for-18) through five games in July.

Matt McLain 2B | CIN
Reds' Matt McLain: Cleared for baseball activity
McLain (shoulder) was cleared Friday to begin baseball activities, MLB.com reports.
Cincinnati manager David Bell said McLain met some strength markers and can now begin a progression. The Reds are putting together a regimen of activities, and McLain could perform those activities in Arizona or with the team.

Kevin Newman 3B | LAA
Diamondbacks' Kevin Newman: Starts at 2B
Newman started at second base and went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 7-5 extra-inning win over San Diego.
Newman, who replaced Ketel Marte (back) at second base during Friday's game, got the start Saturday. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said Marte had dealt with occasional stiffness for several days leading up to Friday's removal. The injury is not believed to be serious, per MLB.com. Newman will likely fill in at second for as long as Marte is sidelined.

Jordan Lawlar LF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Jordan Lawlar: Begins rehab in ACL
Lawlar (hamstring) started at third base and went 0-for-3 in the Arizona Complex League on Saturday.
Lawlar played seven innings in the field in the first game of his rehab. He's missed a lot of action due to injuries this season, and the Diamondbacks need him to build up at-bats before any thoughts of promoting him to the majors. To that end, it's noteworthy that he started at third base Saturday. With Geraldo Perdomo locked in at shortstop, third base becomes a potential landing spot for Lawlar.

Tyler Fitzgerald CF | LAD
Giants' Tyler Fitzgerald: Records steal in loss
Fitzgerald went 1-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Guardians.
Fitzgerald was impactful in the fifth inning with a two-run single. He then stole second, and that allowed Matt Chapman to steal home for another run, though the Giants' comeback effort ultimately fell short. Fitzgerald has been good in a limited role with a .276/.329/.395 slash line, one home run, seven steals, six RBI and 12 runs scored over 82 plate appearances. He got the start at first base versus southpaw Logan Allen on Saturday, though LaMonte Wade figures to play there regularly versus right-handers.

Jordan Lawlar LF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Jordan Lawlar: Set for rehab assignment
Arizona sent Lawlar (hamstring) on a rehab assignment to the Arizona Complex League on Saturday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Lawlar was placed on Triple-A Reno's 7-day injured list June 17 after sustaining a Grade 1 left hamstring strain while legging out a triple against Sacramento two days earlier. Lawlar missed the beginning of the season while recovering from a surgical procedure to repair ligament damage in his right thumb, and he played in just 11 games before the hamstring strain. The 22-year-old shortstop has gone 16-for-45 with five doubles, five stolen bases, one home run and 16 RBI in the minors this season. Lawlar will get up to game speed over a few outings in the ACL as he works his way back to Reno.

Masyn Winn SS | STL
Cardinals' Masyn Winn: Records ninth steal
Winn went 1-for-6 with a stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Nationals.
Winn hadn't recorded a steal since June 4, though he has nine thefts on 12 attempts this season. The shortstop is hitting .279 (17-for-61) over his last 14 games, a slight dip from his .291 batting average overall. He's added a .756 OPS, four home runs, 29 RBI, 35 runs scored, 18 doubles and three triples over 79 contests.
