Grayson Rodriguez SP | LAA
Angels' Grayson Rodriguez: Throws live batting practice
Rodriguez (shoulder) threw a live batting practice session Monday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
It's the first time Rodriguez has faced hitters since he landed on the 15-day injured list prior to Opening Day due to right shoulder inflammation. As long as Rodriguez bounces back well from Monday's session, he could be cleared for a rehab assignment before long. The right-hander would need multiple rehab starts before he's ready to join the Angels' rotation.

Kyle Freeland SP | COL
Rockies' Kyle Freeland: Feels good after bullpen session
Freeland (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Monday, Kevin Henry of The Denver Gazette reports.
Freeland landed on the 15-day IL last Wednesday due to left shoulder inflammation. He relayed to reporters that Monday's session was "good," a sign that he may be available to return from the IL when he's eligible to do so in late April. In the three starts prior to his injury, Freeland went 1-1 with a 2.30 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 13:4 K:BB across 15.2 innings.

Josiah Gray SP | WAS
Nationals' Josiah Gray: Sent for additional testing
Gray (elbow) remains shut down from throwing and will undergo additional testing, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.
It's an ominous sign for Gray, who missed most of the last two seasons due to Tommy John surgery before suffering a flexor strain at the end of spring training. Gray is already on the 60-day injured list and could be looking at another long-term absence.

Tatsuya Imai SP | HOU
Astros' Tatsuya Imai: Throws off mound
Imai (arm) threw a bullpen session Monday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
It appears to be the first time he has thrown off the mound since landed on the 15-day injured list a week ago with right arm fatigue. The Astros haven't revealed the next steps for Imai, but it will likely involve facing hitters and perhaps making a rehab start or two. Imai holds a 7.27 ERA and 13:11 K:BB over his first 8.2 innings with Houston.

Adrian Bohorquez SP | MIN
Twins' Adrian Bohorquez: Shelved by forearm injury
Bohorquez was placed on 7-day injured list at High-A Cedar Rapids with a right forearm strain, Theodore Tollefson of Zone Coverage reports.
Given the nature of the injury, it could be a lengthy absence for the 21-year-old hurler. Bohorquez carries an 11.25 ERA and 13:9 K:BB over eight innings in his first three starts with Cedar Rapids this season.

Michael Grove RP | TB
Rays' Michael Grove: Shifted to 60-day injured list
The Rays transferred Grove (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.
The transaction frees up a 40-man roster spot for right-hander Trevor Martin, who was called up from Triple-A Durham. Grove was signed last week as he continues his recovery from right shoulder surgery, and it's unclear when he might be ready to pitch in a game.

J.P. France RP | HOU
Astros' J.P. France: Goes unclaimed via waivers
The Astros outrighted France to Triple-A Sugar Land on Monday.
After the Astros designated him for assignment for the second time in just over two months this past weekend, France will once again end up sticking around in the Houston organization upon going unclaimed off waivers. He'll likely slot back into the rotation at Sugar Land, which lost three of its starters (Spencer Arrighetti, Colton Gordon and Peter Lambert) last week when the big club was in need of further reinforcement.

Cristian Javier SP | HOU
Astros' Cristian Javier: Bound for 60-day IL
The Astros transferred Javier (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.
Javier's initial placement on the 15-day IL was retroactive to April 9, so his move to the 60-day IL ensures that he'll be on the shelf through at least the first week of June while he recovers from a Grade 2 right shoulder strain. Given the length of his absence along with his poor numbers prior to landing on the shelf (12.54 ERA, 2.36 WHIP and 4:9 K:BB in 9.1 innings over three starts), Javier likely won't be worth holding in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Sonny Gray SP | BOS
Red Sox's Sonny Gray: Will undergo MRI on hamstring
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said that Gray will undergo an MRI on his right hamstring Tuesday, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.
Gray exited in the third inning of his start in Monday's 8-6 win over the Tigers due to hamstring tightness. The team believes the issue to be minor, but more will be known about Gray's status after the imaging results are in. Gray is tentatively slated to start Saturday in Baltimore, but that assignment is up in the air. If Gray need some down time, Payton Tolle is a likely replacement in the Boston rotation. As Healey notes, Gray was previously shelved with right hamstring strains during the 2022 and 2024 seasons, missing about 2-to-3 weeks on the two occasions.
