Hendricks (8-10) allowed three hits and struck out five without walking a batter over seven shutout innings to earn the win Saturday versus the Rockies.

This was Hendricks' fourth scoreless outing of the season, two of which have come in September. Saturday's performance was a big bounce-back effort for the right-hander, who had been shelled for nine runs in 3.1 innings in his previous start against Seattle. Hendricks lowered his ERA to 4.79 and has added a 1.28 WHIP and 106:43 K:BB through 159.2 innings over 30 starts this season. He is projected for one more start this season, which is lined up to be at home against the Astros.

Marquez (3-15) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out five over seven innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Angels.

This was one of Marquez's best starts of the year, but it went unrewarded as the Rockies failed to generate any run support. He still allowed a pair of home runs, which were solo shots by Taylor Ward and Nolan Schanuel. Marquez has lost four of five starts since returning from biceps tendinitis, and he's allowed 26 runs over 23.2 innings in that span. For the season, he's at a 6.49 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 82:45 K:BB through 122 innings across 25 starts. The right-hander's last start of the season is projected to be at San Francisco.

Montero didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 6-5 loss to Atlanta, giving up three runs on two hits and four walks over three innings. He struck out two.

The right-hander needed 69 pitches (40 strikes) to record nine outs, and both hits off Montero left the yard in the third to help chase him from the game. Since returning to the majors in September, Montero's posted a 3.46 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 12:6 K:BB through four appearances (two starts) and 13 innings. He's expected to make one more start before the end of the regular season, on the road next weekend in Boston.

Kelly will start Sunday's game against the Marlins, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Patrick Corbin was lined up to start, but he'll have his turn skipped due to the Rangers having an off day Thursday. Texas is clinging to very slim playoff hopes, so the team will instead turn to Kelly, who has a solid 4.06 ERA and 1.22 WHIP since being acquired at the trade deadline.

Kirby (10-7) earned the win Saturday at Houston, pitching six scoreless innings while allowing five hits and no walks. He struck out seven.

The Seattle right-hander reached double figures in wins for the third consecutive season with this 100-pitch effort. The Astros never came close to sniffing a run against Kirby, who didn't allow an extra-base hit and tallied his 12th quality start of the season. Through 121 total frames, the 27-year-old now sports a 4.24 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 127:28 K:BB. Kirby tentatively projects to make his final start of the season at home against the vaunted Dodgers next weekend.

Valdez (12-11) took the loss in the Saturday's contest against the Mariners, allowing five runs on six hits and four walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out four.

The Houston southpaw issued four free passes for the second consecutive outing, and he's now yielded four or more walks eight times this season across 30 total starts. The Seattle lineup kept peppering Valdez with baserunners and runs, with the fourth inning the only frame in which he didn't allow a run. The 31-year-old lefty has labored since the All-Star break, producing an uncharacteristic 5.63 ERA and 1.47 WHIP across 64 frames. Valdez is currently scheduled to make his final start of the season on the road against the Athletics next week.

Patrick yielded two runs on five hits and no walks over 4.1 innings with three strikeouts and took a no-decision in Saturday's 3-2 extra-inning victory at St. Louis.

Patrick reentered the Milwaukee rotation because Jose Quintana (calf) recently landed on the injured list. The rookie right-hander was fairly effective during his time on the mound, as he didn't give up any extra-base hits. The two runs Patrick allowed came on RBI singles by Nolan Arenado and Brendan Donovan. The 27-year-old now sports a 3.66 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 119:37 K:BB across 115.2 total innings. Patrick currently projects to make his next start at home against the Reds next weekend.

Mikolas did not factor into the decision in Saturday's extra-inning loss to Milwaukee. He allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings with three strikeouts.

The St. Louis right-hander continued his recent run of solid form, notching his fifth straight outing with two or fewer runs allowed. Mikolas coughed up his first run in the second on a Joey Ortiz single while the second run on his register scored on an Andrew Vaughn sacrifice fly given up by reliever Kyle Leahy in the sixth. Across 151.1 total frames, Mikolas has pitched to a 4.76 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 96:36 K:BB while conceding 26 long balls. He currently lines up to make his final start of the season against the division-rival Cubs in Chicago next weekend.

Sugano (10-9) took the loss against the Yankees on Saturday, allowing four runs on six hits and one walk with three strikeouts over three innings.

Sugano allowed a three-run homer in the first inning and a solo shot in the third while generating just seven whiffs on 87 pitches. The 35-year-old has allowed four runs or more in four of his past five starts and has been limited to only three frames in two of his three September outings. He owns a 4.54 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 103:36 K:BB across 152.2 innings and lines up to close his campaign in a road rematch with the Yankees next weekend.

Rodon (17-9) earned the win against the Orioles on Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk with eight strikeouts over seven innings.

Rodon was dominant, throwing 65 of 96 pitches for strikes with a whopping 23 whiffs. The veteran southpaw has now tallied five straight quality starts and yielded two earned runs or fewer in nine consecutive contests dating back to Aug. 6. He owns a 3.04 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 198:72 K:BB across 189.1 innings this season and will wrap up the regular season in a home rematch with the Orioles next weekend.
