Megill didn't factor into the decision during a 5-4 extra-inning win over the Giants in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader. He gave up four runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings, striking out four.

The right-hander tossed 58 of 87 strikes before exiting with the score tied 4-4, but the Mets were able to pull out a win in the 10th inning. The runs Megill allowed were the first of the season on his ledger, and he'll carry a 2.20 ERA, 0,92 WHIP and 15:2 K:BB through 16.1 innings into his next start.

Webb (1-1) took the loss in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Mets, giving up three runs on six hits and three walks over 3.2 innings while striking out only one.

The right-hander put traffic on the bases in every inning, but Webb managed to keep the Mets off the board until the third, when an Eduardo Escobar double plated two runs. The 25-year-old was coming off two straight quality starts to begin the season, and even after Tuesday's outing, he still sports a 2.55 ERA and 1.08 WHIP through 17.2 innings; however, his 15.5 percent strikeout rate is a big step back from the 26.5 percent mark he posted in 2021.

Adon (1-2) picked up the win in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Diamondbacks, giving up three hits and two walks over 6.1 scoreless innings in a 1-0 victory. He struck out five.

The young right-hander put together the best start of his big-league career so far, as he didn't allow a runner past second base while tossing 57 of 88 pitches for strikes in his first career win and first quality start. Adon has not had a good beginning to the season overall, posting a 5.87 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and 13:9 K:BB through 15.1 innings over three starts, but the Nationals will stick with him in the rotation for now given the 23-year-old's potential.

Gray (2-1) picked up the win in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Diamondbacks, giving up one run on three hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out eight.

Daulton Varsho took him deep for a solo shot in the third inning, but otherwise Gray did a good job stifling Arizona's bats. The right-hander threw 50 of 87 pitches for strikes, and while his control so far has been a little shaky, Gray still sports a 3.14 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 18:7 K:BB through his first 14.1 innings this season.

Buehler (1-1) took the loss during Tuesday's 3-1 defeat against Atlanta, allowing three runs on eight hits and one walk with two strikeouts in five innings.

The typically sharp Buehler labored in this one as he permitted baserunners in each inning and all three runs came in separate frames, though he was able to keep his pitch count at 79 due to an uncharacteristically low two strikeouts. The bullpen kept Atlanta off the board but opposing starter Max Fried was untouchable all night and Los Angeles was only able to scratch across one run late. The 27-year-old Buehler has now surrendered multiple runs while failing to reach six innings or six strikeouts in any of his three starts. He has a prime opportunity to get back on track with his next start scheduled to take place in Arizona on Monday.

Fried (1-2) earned the win during Tuesday's 3-1 victory over the Dodgers, allowing two hits in seven scoreless innings. He struck out eight and did not issue a walk.

Fried was masterful Tuesday, keeping a potent Dodgers lineup at bay all game and not permitting a baserunner until the sixth inning after Atlanta already had a three-run lead. The 28-year-old has now improved in each of his three starts and appears back on track with nearly as many strikeouts Tuesday as he had in his first two starts against lesser opponents. Fried is tentatively slated to face the Cubs on Tuesday for his next turn.

Musgrove (2-0) earned the win Tuesday, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk over 6.1 innings against the Reds. He struck out seven.

The right-hander served up a homer to Tommy Pham in the first inning and an RBI single to Kyle Farmer in the sixth, but he was dominant in between. Musgrove walked the last batter he faced Tuesday -- Colin Moran. It was the first walk issued by Musgrove so far this season, giving him a 21:1 K:BB through 19 innings to go along with a 1.89 ERA. The Padres are listing Nick Martinez, Yu Darvish and Sean Manaea as the starters for this weekend's series against the Dodgers, meaning Musgrove will likely get these Reds again his next time out, this time in Cincinnati.

Freeland struck out three in five innings, allowing two runs on six hits, a walk and a hit batsman in a 6-5 win Tuesday against Philadelphia. He did not factor into the decision.

Freeland pitched around trouble throughout the night and allowed a run in both the first and fourth innings. He left with a 3-2 lead and in position to earn his first win of the season. It was announced earlier Tuesday that the Denver native signed a five-year, $64.5 million extension. The 28-year-old followed that up with his best start of the season, lowering his ERA to 7.71.

Gibson allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three in six innings in a 6-5 loss Tuesday in Colorado. He did not factor into the decision.

All three runs against Gibson came in the fourth inning, when he allowed four singles and a walk. He scattered two hits and a walk in his other five innings of work and left with a 4-3 lead. After striking out 16 over his first two outings, the 2021 All-Star managed just three strikeouts in Tuesday's start. With just 7.2 K/9 in his career, the righty's 9.7 K/9 is likely to come down as the season progresses. He's scheduled to face off against the Rockies again Monday at home.

Luzardo (0-1) was charged with the loss Tuesday versus the Cardinals after allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits across 4.1 innings. He had three strikeouts and two walks.

The 24-year-old fanned 12 and gave up only one run over five innings during his season debut, but the Cardinals had four extra-base hits and no issues reaching base against him Tuesday. Luzardo now has a 4.82 ERA through two outings this year.
