Gray is not starting Monday's game against the Braves, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Gray appeared to have finished his pregame warmups and was ready to take the mound, but then rain delayed the contest for an hour and a half. The right-hander figures to be able to go Tuesday, but the Nationals have yet to announce their pitching plan for the second game of the series. Erasmo Ramirez will start what figures to be a bullpen game Monday evening.

Cobb (neck) will throw live batting practice Tuesday, Evan Webeck of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Cobb was scratched from his scheduled June 3 start with what was originally called back tightness, then a hamstring strain and finally a neck strain. A precise timeline for his return has yet to emerge, but the fact that he's ready to pitch to batters certainly seems to be a good sign.

DeSclafani (ankle) will make another rehab start for Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

DeSclafani is working his way back from the ankle injury he suffered in late April. He threw three scoreless innings in his first rehab outing Saturday, so he'll likely target four or five frames this time around. Whether or not he'll need any more rehab starts at that point remains to be seen.

Boyd felt some discomfort in his left elbow during Monday's live batting practice session, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

The Giants have yet to reveal next steps for Boyd, but the team will likely see how he feels over the course of the next few days before re-evaluating the southpaw. If he's unable to begin a rehab assignment soon, his return date could creep into late July and possibly into August.

Marlins manager Don Mattingly disclosed Monday that Luzardo (forearm) has been cleared to play catch, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

The long-toss sessions off flat ground mark Luzardo's first throwing activity since he was placed on the 15-day injured list May 15 with a left forearm strain. While it's a positive step forward for Luzardo, he'll likely need at least two or three weeks to get himself ready for a return to the big-league rotation, so fantasy managers that have been stashing him probably shouldn't expect him back until July.

Nationals manager Dave Martinez said Strasburg (neck) won't make his next scheduled start Tuesday against Atlanta and will be placed on the 15-day injured list after experiencing renewed discomfort following his between-starts bullpen session, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.

Strasburg will undergo an MRI later Monday as the Nationals look to determine the nature and extent of his setback, but his placement on the IL is most likely linked to his recovery from thoracic outlet syndrome, which kept him sidelined for the first two months of the campaign. After a productive three-start rehab assignment, Strasburg returned to make his season debut in Miami last Thursday, but he was lit up for seven runs on eight hits and a walk over 4.2 innings. The 33-year-old showed diminished velocity in the outing and didn't feel any better in his subsequent side session, so he'll be shut down again as the Nationals look to get him back on track. Washington has yet to announce a replacement in the rotation for Strasburg.

Matz (shoulder) threw off flat ground Sunday, Joe Harris of MLB.com reports.

Matz, who recently hit a snag in his recovery from left shoulder inflammation, said Sunday marked his "best day" since being placed on the 15-day injured list May 23. The southpaw will need to graduate to mound work and resume facing hitters before the Cardinals send him out on a minor-league rehab assignment likely consisting of one or two starts.

Lugo walked one and struck out one over 1.1 scoreless innings Sunday to record his 10th hold of the season in a win over the Angels.

The right-hander hasn't been dominant this season, but he has been a fairly reliable bridge to closer Edwin Diaz. Lugo sports a 3.51 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 23:6 K:BB through 25.2 innings, adding one win and two saves to his holds total through 25 appearances.

Williams isn't listed among the Mets' starting pitchers for their upcoming three-game series against the Brewers, suggesting he's been moved to a bullpen role, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Due to an off day last Thursday along with Tylor Megill's return from the injured list, the Mets got by with a four-man rotation last week that didn't include either Williams or David Peterson. Both pitchers appeared out of the bullpen during the Mets' three-game weekend series against the Angels, with Williams working in Saturday's 11-6 loss and tossing 0.2 scoreless innings. The Mets will transition back to a five-man rotation this week, but with Peterson set to take the hill Wednesday, Williams looks like he'll maintain a spot in the bullpen as a long-relief option moving forward.

Peterson is listed as the Mets' scheduled starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Brewers in New York.

Peterson's role became uncertain last week following Tylor Megill's (biceps) return from the 10-day injured list, which meant that either Peterson or Trevor Williams would lose out on a rotation spot. Both Peterson and Williams appeared out of the bullpen in the weekend series with the Angels while the Mets temporarily got by with a four-man rotation, but Peterson looks like he'll end up sticking as the No. 5 starter over Williams, who isn't included on the team's upcoming pitching schedule. Through his eight appearances (six starts) with the big club this season covering 36 frames, Peterson has generated a 3.00 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 32:18 K:BB.
