May (elbow) threw 49 pitches and topped out at 99 mph in a rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. The right-hander allowed one run on three hits and three walks while striking out three batters over two innings.

May was scheduled to go three innings in his first outing with the Triple-A squad, but an elevated pitch count led to his removal after two frames. The fireballer averaged 97.1 mph on his sinker, per Ardaya, but he struggled with his control, throwing only 24 of 49 pitches for strikes. May will likely need at least a few more rehab outings, but he could make his season debut for the Dodgers in early or mid-August.

Wainwright (6-8) allowed seven earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two across 5.1 innings to take the loss Friday against the Reds.

Through his first 13 starts and 79.1 innings of the season, Wainwright allowed only five home runs. After serving up two long balls Friday, he's now surrendered eight long balls across his most recent six starts and 31.2 frames. Even so, he's maintained a respectable 4.14 ERA in that same six-start span. On the campaign, Wainwright owns a 3.40 ERA and a 91:34 K:BB across 116.1 innings.

Garrett (2-3) allowed one run on two hits and a walk over six innings Friday, striking out seven and earning a win over Pittsburgh.

The only damage against Garrett was a solo home run by Jason Delay in the third frame. His last two starts have come against the Pirates; he's combined to strike out 18 batters while allowing just one run over 12 innings in those outings. The 24-year-old southpaw now owns a 3.42 ERA with a 47:11 K:BB through nine starts this season. Garrett is lined up to start in Cincinnati next week.

Cabrera (elbow) threw three scoreless innings while striking out seven and walking one with Double-A Pensacola on Friday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Cabrera was slated to throw four innings, but he still managed to increase his workload to 52 pitches. He could rejoin the Marlins rotation on his next turn through the rotation, though the team could opt to have him work another rehab outing to further build his arm strength.

Luzardo (forearm) threw four no-hit innings while striking out three with Triple-A Jacksonville during a rehab outing Friday.

Luzardo has been sidelined since early May but has now made multiple rehab appearances while building up to 51 pitches. He could make his next start in the big leagues on a limited pitch count, or the Marlins could opt to give him one more rehab outing to further ramp up.

Buehler (elbow) will play light catch Monday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The activity will mark Buehler's first since being placed on the injured list June 11. He remains optimistic that he'll be able to return to the Dodgers' rotation in mid-to-late September, though he isn't set for another MRI until 12 weeks post-injury -- which would be in early September. Any appearances he makes during the regular season would likely only be to build up his workload for a potential postseason run.

Peralta (lat) will make his first rehab start with Triple-A Nashville on Saturday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

There wasn't an exact workload disclosed, but manager Craig Counsell did say that Peralta would work multiple innings. He'll work on a starter schedule and will build up an inning per outing. Assuming no major setbacks, Peralta could return in mid-to-late August.

Gore will remain in the Padres' bullpen for now, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Gore shifted to a relief role just before the All-Star break, and the Padres will elect to continue with a five-man rotation for now, likely to limit the workloads of Gore and Nick Martinez. Gore made a relief appearance Sunday against Arizona and allowed two runs on a hit and two walks while striking out one in one-third of an inning.

Miley (shoulder) threw a 32-pitch bullpen session Friday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Miley resumed throwing in late June and has now progressed to mound work. However, he'll need some time to build back up prior to rejoining the Cubs' rotation. As the 35-year-old has been on the injured list since June 11, he'll require a rehab assignment before returning from the injured list. As a result, it seems unlikely that he'll return to the majors until sometime in mid-August at the earliest.

Soroka (Achilles/knee) is an unlikely option to return until at least September, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander has yet to begin a rehab assignment as he continues a lengthy recovery process that last saw him pitch in a big-league game August 2020, and Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said Friday that he doesn't start factoring a player's return into his roster plans until they get deeper into their assignments. That suggests Soroka won't be back until at least September, as he will certainly need a significant rehab assignment following multiple Achilles tendon tears.
