Hader struck out eight of the nine batters he faced Monday to record a 2.2-inning save in the Brewers' 6-5 victory over the Reds.

Hader had already been amazing coming into the series opener, as he carried a 31:4 K:BB with just two runs allowed over 15.1 innings. But this performance was one of the greatest regular-season relief appearances of all time, with Hader's outing marking the first eight-out save in which all outs were recorded via strikeout. Corey Knebel (hamstring) is nearing a return to action, and the Brewers have been more than willing to use Hader in non-save situations, but the way the lefty is pitching, he will be one of the best fantasy relievers out there even if he isn't used in a traditional closer's role. Hader's 39 strikeouts have him tied for 23rd in the majors among all pitchers, an eye-popping total that has powered Hader to a 1.00 ERA and 0.50 WHIP.

McGowan (undisclosed) was placed on the disabled list Monday at Triple-A Las Vegas, Betsy Helfand of The Las Vegas Review Journal reports.

McGowan will hit the disabled list after appearing in eight games out of the bullpen for Las Vegas. He's struggled significantly this season, accruing a 4.70 ERA and 1.66 WHIP across 15.1 innings. It's unclear how long the 26-year-old right-hander will remain on the shelf.

Bracho was recalled form Triple-A Reno on Monday.

With Robbie Ray (oblique) landing on the disabled list, the Diamondbacks opted to bring Bracho up to the big club. The right-handed reliever has appeared in six games (9.1 innings) with Reno this season, over which he's allowed six runs on 10 hits and a walk. Last season he posted a 5.66 ERA and 1.21 WHIP over 21 games (20.2 innings) with Arizona.

Arano was placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday with a mild right rotator cuff strain, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic Philadelphia reports.

It's unclear when exactly Arano picked up the injury or how long it will keep him sidelined at this point. He underwent an MRI on Monday and is expected to take the next few days off from throwing before being reevaluated when the team heads to Washington, D.C. later in the week. The 23-year-old has been rock solid in a relief role this season, allowing just one run while striking out 13 batters through 12 innings of work. Zach Eflin, who is scheduled to start Tuesday, was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding roster move.

Suero was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse on Monday, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

Suero owns a 6.75 ERA across four innings with Syracuse this season, though all three of the runs he's given up this season came in his first outing of the year. He should work in middle relief during his time with the Nationals. Austin Voth was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move to clear room on the roster for Suero.

Voth was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Monday, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

Voth will head back to the minors after spending just one day with the Nationals and making no appearances. He'll rejoin the starting rotation at Triple-A Syracuse, where he owns an impressive 0.96 ERA, 0.70 WHIP and 22:2 K:BB through four starts (18.2 innings) this season.

Leiter threw 20 pitches in live batting practice Monday, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic Philadelphia reports.

Leiter continues to ramp up his activity as he works his way back from a mild flexor strain that he suffered back in March. He was able to incorporate his entire repertoire in Monday's session with no issues. Barring any setbacks, Leiter should be cleared to head out on a minor-league rehab assignment in the coming weeks.

Peters will remain in the majors as a long-relief option for now, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.

There was an expectation that Peters would be sent back to the minors as a corresponding move to Dan Straily's activation from the disabled list, though the Marlins opted to make a different move. Despite this, manager Don Mattingly reiterated that the Marlins prefer the southpaw in a starting role, so he'll likely find his way back in Triple-A soon if a big-league rotation spot doesn't open up. In five starts for Miami this season, Peters has a 5.84 ERA and a 1.58 WHIP.

Curtis was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday.

Curtis will join the big club to offer a fresh bullpen arm after Jake Thompson was sent back to the minors following a multi-inning relief outing Sunday. The 25-year-old owns a solid 2.61 ERA and 12:5 K:BB across 10.1 innings with the IronPigs this season. Look for him to pitch in middle relief during his time with the Phillies.

Nelson (shoulder) continues to throw off flat ground at around 150 feet and should be cleared for mound work in the near future, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. "We're just looking to see consistency," Nelson said. "What we want is 5-to-6 good days [of flat-ground throwing] in a row. It doesn't make sense to do a bullpen [session] before that."

The fact that Nelson has yet to graduate to bullpen sessions in his recovery from shoulder surgery shouldn't be viewed as a setback for the right-hander, who indicated that he's still progressing ahead of schedule. Building up to mound work was always meant to be a gradual process for Nelson, so the Brewers won't rush him back to the bump until his arm feels ready for more intensified throwing. Nelson remains without a clear timetable for a return, though the Brewers expect him to resurface as a fixture atop the rotation at some point this summer.
