Suarez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in an 8-4 win against the Nationals on Monday.

Suarez swatted a solo shot to left field in the fourth inning and gave Seattle its first lead with a sacrifice fly in the fifth. The long ball was just his second in June and his eighth overall on the campaign. Suarez has gone deep at least 31 times in every full season since 2018 but will need to step up his power output considerably to reach that mark again this year.

The Tigers recalled Nevin from Triple-A Toledo on Monday.

Nevin was optioned to Triple-A on June 9 and has slashed .220/.306/.341 across 49 plate appearances since then. He hasn't enjoyed much success across his last two MLB stints, so he'll almost certainly serve as a bench piece while in Detroit. Nevin will take the place of Nick Maton, who was optioned to Toledo in a corresponding move.

Escobar was excused from the Angels on Monday to take his United States citizenship test, Sarah Valenzuela of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Escobar has to travel to Florida for the test but is only expected to miss the first game of the Angels' four-game series against the visiting White Sox. He'll technically be on the restricted list while he's away from the club. Mike Moustakas is playing third base and batting fifth for the Halos in Monday's series opener versus Chicago.

Escobar has made a good first impression since debuting for the Angels on Saturday, going 4-for-8 with an RBI and five runs scored in his first two games. He'll step aside Monday for Mike Moustakas to make his own Angels debut while batting fifth.

Anderson is not in the lineup Monday versus the Mets.

Blake Perkins will start in right field and bat eighth against the Mets and right-hander Justin Verlander. Luis Urias is handling third base and hitting seventh. Anderson got off to an excellent start this season with the Brewers but has slashed just .160/.292/.227 over his last 89 plate appearances dating back to late May.

The Marlins reinstated Segura (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Monday, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Miami optioned Garrett Hampson and Jacob Amaya to Triple-A Jacksonville to make room for the returns of two everyday players in Segura and Jazz Chisholm (toe), who was also brought back from the 10-day injured list. Before he was deactivated June 17 due to the left hamstring strain, Segura had been one of the majors' worst-performing regulars, as he mustered a lowly .190/.259/.234 slash line over 225 plate appearances. With the Marlins currently finding themselves atop the National League wild-card standings entering play Monday, Segura may not have a long leash on a spot in Miami's regular lineup if he continues to struggle at the plate in his return to action.

Lewis is not in the lineup Monday versus Atlanta.

This appears to be a planned day of rest for Lewis, who went 3-for-4 with a walk in Sunday's series finale at Detroit and is sitting on a seven-game hitting streak. Kyle Farmer will start at third base and bat eighth for the Twins on Monday at Truist Park.

Henderson is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds.

The Orioles will use a right-handed-heavy lineup to counter Reds southpaw Brandon Williamson, so Henderson will head to the bench along with fellow left-handed hitters Ryan O'Hearn and Adam Frazier. Ramon Urias will check in for Henderson at third base.

Rafaela was informed Sunday that he will be promoted to Triple-A Worcester on Monday, Alex Speier of the Boston Globe reports.

Rafaela got off to a slow start at Double-A Portland, but the 22-year-old turned it around the last month. He's batted .331/.377/.522 over the last 34 games to bump his season average to .294 through 60 games. He's also stolen 30 bases, two more than he had in 2022 over 116 games. The speedy center fielder also added versatility by playing nine games at shortstop while with the Sea Dogs.

Lewis went 3-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Tigers.

Lewis extended his hitting streak to seven games and has three multi-hit performances over that span while striking out just three times. To compare, he had a 2:19 BB:K through 15 games before his current hitting streak. He's starting to come into his own and is now slashing .333/.357/.506 with four homers, 14 RBI, 11 runs, a steal and owns a 141 wRC+ in 22 games since his return from the 60 day IL.
