Lewis went 3-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Tigers.

Lewis extended his hitting streak to seven games and has three multi-hit performances over that span while striking out just three times. To compare, he had a 2:19 BB:K through 15 games before his current hitting streak. He's starting to come into his own and is now slashing .333/.357/.506 with four homers, 14 RBI, 11 runs, a steal and owns a 141 wRC+ in 22 games since his return from the 60 day IL.

Garcia went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a steal in Sunday's loss to the Rays.

Garcia singled home Bobby Witt in the fourth for the Royals' only run of the afternoon and also stole his 11th base of the year before the inning was over. Garcia's exhibited his excellent speed but has also begun to prove himself as a hitter at the major league level. Over his last eight games, Garcia is slashing .387/.424/.516 with four RBI, seven runs, five steals and a 2:5 BB:K. He's been a rare bright spot for a Royals team that hasn't had much to get excited about this year.

Candelario went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, three runs scored and three RBI in Sunday's victory over the Padres.

Candelario wasted no time opening the game's scoring with his first-inning solo shot before later adding a two-run double. The 29-year-old has started to pick things up over his last 10 games, going 13-for-35 (.371) with nine extra-base knocks and eight runs scored. Candelario is now slashing .261/.338/.471 with 10 homers, 24 doubles and 36 RBI through 73 games.

Davis went 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBI in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Davis has hit safely in four of his last six games, going 6-for-23 (.261) with four RBI in that span. The third baseman has resumed his everyday role at third base since recovering from an ankle injury. For the season, he's slashing .285/.364/.469 with 10 home runs, 44 RBI, 32 runs scored and a stolen base over 72 contests.

Newman went 0-for-1 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 7-6 loss to Atlanta.

Newman has gotten on base safely in all but one of his last seven games, and he's added two steals and four RBI in that span. The infielder's playing time is on the decline with the Reds' infield at full health, and he'll likely be confined to a short-side platoon role going forward. Newman has a .266/.325/.380 slash line with three home runs, 26 RBI, 22 runs scored and six steals through 206 plate appearances this season.

Riley went 0-for-2 with two walks, a stolen base and two runs scored in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Reds.

Both of Riley's steals this season have come in June -- the other was versus the Nationals on June 9. The third baseman has gone 12-for-46 (.261) with five walks over his last 11 contests. He's slashing .265/.333/.440 with 13 home runs, 38 RBI, 50 runs scored and 14 doubles through 77 games. While that's still above average from a league-wide perspective, Riley's had a bit of trouble hitting for power this year compared to his last two seasons.

Maton was optioned to Triple-A Toledo after Sunday's loss to the Twins, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Maton has started 58 games this season and was operating as Detroit's primary third baseman, but he's now been sent down after going 1-for-4 with a strikeout and a crucial throwing error in Sunday's extra-inning defeat. The 26-year-old has a .163/.289/.287 slash line with six home runs and 23 RBI this year, and he'll attempt to straighten out his swing at Triple-A. Jonathan Schoop, Zack Short and Andy Ibanez could all factor in at third base for the Tigers.

Rivera is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at San Francisco.

Rivera will take a seat for the second time in Arizona's past three games. Evan Longoria will start at the hot corner Sunday, and the pair should split playing time at the position going forward after Josh Rojas was demoted Monday.

Hayes is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.comreports.

The 26-year-old started the past six games and will take a seat after he posted a .640 OPS and 32 percent strikeout rate during that stretch. Rodolfo Castro will man the hot corner and bat eighth in Hayes' place Sunday.

Henderson went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 6-4 extra-inning win over the Mariners.

Henderson faded a bit in mid-June, but he's got a pair of multi-hit efforts over his last three contests. For the month, he's batting .356 (21-for-59) over 17 games while adding six home runs and three stolen bases. The rookie is up to a .244/.346/.460 slash line with 11 homers, five steals, 27 RBI and 38 runs scored over 66 contests. He was seeing time at leadoff against right-handers in recent weeks, but that is likely to dry up with Cedric Mullins (groin) back from the injured list.
