Davis remains out of the lineup Tuesday versus the Rays.

Davis also started Monday's series opener on the bench, but he came on as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning and finished the game at first base. There wouldn't seem to be anything wrong with him physically. LaMonte Wade will cover first base Tuesday and Wilmer Flores (ear) is back in action at third.
