McMahon went 1-for-3 with a solo home run against the White Sox in a loss Thursday.
McMahon produced New York's only run of the game with a 430-foot blast in the third inning. It was the veteran third baseman's first extra-base hit since June 8, a span of eight games. Extending further, McMahon has batted just .233 with two homers and four RBI through 13 games in June. His .639 OPS over 67 contests is on pace for his career-worst mark over a full MLB season.

McMahon's homer was a big one, as it broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning. After going deep just three times over his first 45 games, the veteran third baseman has been flashing more power of late, hitting four long balls across his past past 14 contests. McMahon is batting a solid .293 over that span, though that comes with a 0:14 BB:K. In fact, McMahon hasn't drawn a walk since May 7, a span of 23 games.

McMahon is in the midst of one of his best stretches of the season, having gone 9-for-29 (.310 average) with three home runs, one stolen base, six RBI and five runs over his last eight games. McMahon continues to heat up -- he's gone 7-for-25 (.280) with three homers and six RBI over his last seven games. The third baseman is now hitting .200 with a .613 OPS, 19 RBI, 15 runs scored, four doubles and three stolen bases over 158 plate appearances this season. As long as he's hitting well, he should maintain a strong-side platoon role at the hot corner.

McMahon went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 7-0 win over the Royals.
McMahon had been on the bench for the previous two games, presumably for matchup-related reasons. He's not struggling right now -- the third baseman has gone 6-for-21 (.286) with two homers, five RBI and a stolen base over his last six contests. On the season, he's hitting just .199 with a .594 OPS, five homers, 18 RBI, 14 runs scored, three steals and four doubles across 51 contests. McMahon has primarily worked as a strong-side platoon option this season. If his overall numbers don't improve, he could cede some time to Amed Rosario, who has an .835 OPS over 45 plate appearances versus right-handed pitchers despite being McMahon's main platoon partner at the hot corner.

McMahon went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a steal during the Yankees' 5-4 win over the Blue Jays on Tuesday.
Dylan Cease dominated the Yankees' bats through the first three innings of Tuesday's game, but McMahon came up big for his team with a three-run homer to left field that tied things up at 3-3. It was a much-needed performance out of the veteran third baseman, who entered the game with a .541 OPS (in 133 plate appearances) and having gone 0-for-23 across his seven prior outings.
