House is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

House will head to the bench Wednesday after going 1-for-8 with a double and a walk while starting in the first two contests of the series. Andres Chaparro will replace House at third base and will bat fifth.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Wednesday that Keys will begin playing some left field at Triple-A Buffalo, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

To this point, Keys has played only first and third base in pro ball, but showing he can handle left field would give the 23-year-old an additional path to playing time in the majors. Keys has been red hot at the plate for Buffalo in August, slashing .351/.463/.675.

Mayo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's tilt in St. Louis.

Mayo had started four straight and 10 of the past 11 contests for the Orioles, but he'll take a seat Wednesday. Pete Alonso will occupy the designated-hitter slot, Samuel Basallo will play first base, and Carlos Narvaez will start behind the plate.

Whitcomb will start at second base and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Reds.

Whitcomb will stick in the starting nine for a third game in a row following his promotion from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday. After covering third base while going 0-for-7 with two strikeouts in the first two contests of the series, Whitcomb will shift over to the keystone Wednesday while the left-handed-hitting Nate Furman heads to the bench with southpaw Nick Lodolo on the bump for the Reds.

Ramirez went 3-for-6 with three doubles, five RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 8-6 extra-inning win over the Angels.

Ramirez had his hands all over this comeback win. He went to work after the Guardians fell behind 5-0 after two innings. Ramirez had a pair of two-run doubles, including the go-ahead runs in the 10th inning, and another double that drove in one run. The cherry on top was his 30th stolen base of the season, giving the 33-year-old three consecutive seasons with at least that many steals.

Encarnacion-Strand went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 13-1 win over the Cardinals.

Encarnacion-Strand took Matthew Liberatore deep for a solo homer in the third inning before adding a two-run single during Baltimore's eight-run fifth. The multi-hit performance was a welcome result after he entered Tuesday mired in a 0-for-15 slump. Since joining the Orioles, Encarnacion-Strand has hit .238 with seven home runs and 25 RBI across 30 games.

The Mariners optioned Rivas to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday.

He's clearing off the roster to make space for the return of J.P. Crawford (wrist). Rivas has slashed an ugly .147/.270/.190 across 47 games in the majors this season.

Jordan is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles.

Jordan had made 10 consecutive starts, but he will exit the lineup for Tuesday's series opener. Ramon Urias will cover third base and will bat seventh for the Cardinals.

Durbin is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Marlins.

It looks to be a routine day off for Durbin, who started each of the previous 14 contests for the Red Sox. Boston will roll with Nick Sogard at third base and Anthony Seigler at second base Tuesday.

The Cardinals recalled Gorman from Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday.

He'll fill the roster spot vacated by the injured Masyn Winn (thumb). Gorman has slashed .182/.328/.430 with 13 home runs in 46 games since being demoted to Memphis, with seven of those long balls coming in August. He could see some action at third base for the Cardinals but is not guaranteed regular playing time.
