Caminero went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 12-4 win over the Athletics.
Caminero opened the scoring in his first plate appearance, taking Mason Barnett deep for a two-run homer. The third baseman has now homered in consecutive games and six times over his last 11 contests, bringing him into a four-way tie for the MLB lead with 35 long balls. Caminero's .277/.369/.554 slash line has all three marks above his career-year performance from last season, and with 35 homers already, he has a legitimate chance to surpass the 45 he launched a year ago.

Caminero had gone 0-for-10 with three walks and four strikeouts during the Rays' three-game series in Seattle over the weekend. A move to a more favorable hitting environment worked well for the third baseman, whose homer pulled the Rays within a run during their eighth-inning rally. Rays' Junior Caminero: Expects to play Friday
Camerino (hand) said he plans to be in the lineup for both games of Friday's doubleheader against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The 23-year-old had X-rays come back negative after being hit by a pitch on the left hand during Tuesday's All-Star Game, and he doesn't expect to need any time off to begin the second half of the season. Caminero entered the break on a bit of a skid at the plate with a .143 average (4-for-28) and 32.4 percent strikeout rate in his last eight games, though all four of his hits in that span went for extra bases.

Rays' Junior Caminero: Exits All-Star Game after HBP
Caminero was removed from the All-Star Game on Tuesday after getting hit on the hand by a pitch in the third inning, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Caminero left the game immediately after taking a 97.6-mph sinker off his left hand, though X-rays on his hand came back negative shortly after his departure, per Topkin. Caminero is considered day-to-day and will now have two days to rest and recover before the Rays begin their second-half schedule Friday in Boston.
