Muncy went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and a strikeout in a 5-3 loss to the Padres on Wednesday.

Playing in only his second game since returning from injury, Muncy doubled and scored in both the fourth and eighth innings to assist in two of Los Angeles' three runs on the game. The infielder is now slashing a robust .266/.421/.533 and leads the team in both on-base percentage and slugging.

Machado went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run and a strikeout as the Padres beat the Dodgers, 5-3 on Wednesday.

Machado went back-to-back with Jake Cronenworth in the first against Los Angeles starter Trevor Bauer and later added a key insurance run after scoring on a sacrifice fly in the eighth. The performance was a nice rebound from Tuesday's four-strikeout showing. Machado is now slashing .258/.338/.464.

Escobar (quadriceps) hit a solo home run in his only at-bat in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to Milwaukee.

The 32-year-old went deep in the eighth inning to pull Arizona within a run. Escobar remained in the game as a defensive replacement for Josh VanMeter at second base. With a day off Thursday, Escobar may be rested enough to return to the starting nine Friday versus San Diego. He's slashing .242/.290/.466 with 16 homers, 46 RBI, 38 runs scored and a stolen base through 297 plate appearances.

Arenado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-2 loss to Detroit.

The third baseman opened the scoring by taking Detroit starter Matt Manning deep in the second inning. Arenado is now 4-for-14 in his last four games after ending an 0-for-18 skid. For the season, he's slashing .267/.314/.502 with 14 homers, 48 RBI and 35 runs scored across 299 plate appearances.

Hayes went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a walk in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the White Sox.

Two run-scoring singles brought Hayes' RBI total to 12 through 19 games this season. Wednesday was his first multi-hit game since June 6, a positive sign for the 24-year-old, whose average had dropped to .258 entering the day. Though the Pirates' lineup as a whole has been unremarkable this year, Hayes is surrounded by enough talent in Adam Frazier, Brian Reynolds and Colin Moran to be a legitimate offensive contributor going forward.

Walls was scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Red Sox with right wrist soreness, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Walls was penciled in to start and shortstop and bat eighth, but he's now absent from the starting nine due to the wrist issue. He's available off the bench, so the injury appears to be a minor concern. Brett Phillips entered the lineup in his place.

Bregman (quadriceps) is still "at least two or three weeks or more" away from returning, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Bregman landed on the 10-day injured list with a left quad strain Thursday, and manager Dusty Baker said right away that the 27-year-old would be out "a while." A better idea of the infielder's status could be revealed once he's able to resume baseball activities, but he could be sidelined until around the All-Star break following Baker's most recent update.

Manager Aaron Boone said Wednesday that X-rays conducted on Urshela's right shin returned negative, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports. Urshela is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals and is considered day-to-day.

According to Boone, Urshela is merely tending to some soreness in the shin after he was struck by a pitch in the seventh inning of Tuesday's loss. DJ LeMahieu will fill in at third base for Urshela, who could be ready to rejoin the lineup for Thursday's series finale if the pain in his lower leg subsides overnight.

Urshela is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals, one day after he was struck by a pitch in the right shin during the Yankees' 6-5 loss, Brendan Kuty of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Urshela wasn't removed from the contest when he was struck by the pitch in his seventh-inning at-bat, but he was clearly favoring his right leg in the field for the rest of the night. Manager Aaron Boone will look to get ahead of the injury by holding out Urshela, who can be considered day-to-day heading into Thursday's series finale. Urshela had recorded three multi-hit games in his last five appearances, and he went 8-for-20 with two homers, a double, four RBI, four runs and eight strikeouts during that time.

LeMahieu went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in a loss to Kansas City on Tuesday.

The infielder came up to the plate with the Yankees trailing 6-3 in the eighth inning and cut the lead to one run with a two-run blast to right field. The long ball was his sixth of the season, and half have come in his past nine games. LeMahieu is still slashing a disappointing .263/.338/.365 overall, but he has been heating up of late, batting .326 with 10 RBI and only two strikeouts over 43 at-bats since June 10.
