Raiders running back Darren McFadden left Sunday's game against the Eagles with another hamstring injury. McFadden was noticeably absent from the team's final few drives in the second quarter, and the Raiders revealed shortly after halftime McFadden would not return to the game because of a hamstring injury.

McFadden suffered a hamstring injury Week 4 vs. Washington and sat out Week 5 against the Chargers before returning to action Week 6 at Kansas City. No word yet if McFadden's newest hamstring injury is a recurrence of his previous hamstring injury.

McFadden had five carries for 12 yards and one catch for 3 yards before leaving the game Week 9. He was once again replaced by Rashad Jennings. The Raiders are back in action Week 10 at N.Y. Giants.

Redskins running back Roy Helu did little during the Week 9 overtime win over San Diego Sunday. With fullback Darrel Young scoring three touchdowns and getting the goal-line carries, Helu only touched the ball three times during the game. 

Helu rushed twice for 23 yards and had a long run of 21 yards for the Redskins. He added one reception for 6 yards. Helu was only targeted once in the game by quarterback Robert Griffin III. Helu and the Redskins play Minnesota on Thursday of Week 10. 

Rams running back Benny Cunningham was the team's primary backup in Week 9 against the Titans, after missing the two previous games with an ankle injury.

Cunningham received just three carries and finished the game with 11 yards, and had no impact on the passing game. He also lost a fumble in the red zone on the team's first drive.

As long as Daryl Richardson is out, Cunningham will be the team's No. 2 back. However, he will likely continue to have a limited role. The Rams face the Colts in Week 10. 

The San Diego running game was limited on Sunday by the Washington defense. Chargers running backs Ryan Mathews and Danny Woodhead were held in check in the Week 9 overtime loss in D.C. 

Mathews rushed seven times for 34 yards, while Woodhead took the ball seven times for just 21 on the afternoon. Neither RB scored. 

Woodhead caught nine passes for 77 yards, however. He was targeted a team-high 12 times by quarterback Philip Rivers. Mathews, on the other hand, did not see a target from Rivers on the game. 

Mathews saw a string of back-to-back 100-yard rushing performances snapped Sunday. San Diego hosts Denver Week 10.

Titans running back Chris Johnson ended his freefall in Week 9 against the Rams, as he led the way in a 28-21 win.  

Johnson easily bested his total from the team's previous four weeks combined, as he rushed for a season-high 150 yards on 23 carries. He had a number of long runs in the game, including touchdowns of 14 and 19 yards. Johnson added three receptions for 20 yards while being targeted four times.

Johnson did lose some carries to Shonn Greene, especially near the goal line, but Greene didn't cut into his workload as much as coach Mike Munchak hinted at earlier in the week.

Johnson showed his typical burst Sunday, and is averaging 5.9 yards per carry over the last two games. He has a good chance to keep the momentum going in Week 10, as the Titans get set to host the Jaguars. 

Ravens running back Bernard Pierce, who has just seven fewer carries than Pro Bowler Ray Rice on the season, will have an opportunity to add to his total Sunday in Cleveland. He has been cleared to play despite a thigh problem that had him listed as probable.

The Eagles have made QB Michael Vick, RB Matthew Tucker, LB Jake Knott, OL Matt Tobin, OL Dennis Kelly and WR B.J. Cunningham inactive Week 9 against the Raiders.

Vick was ruled out on Friday's injury report, so the move shouldn't come as a surprise. Nick Foles will get the start at quarterback. The rest of the players on the inactive list are healthy scratches. 

The Buccaneers have officially ruled  a pair of running backs out for Sunday's contest against the Seahawks in Week 9 due to injuries. As expected, Doug Martin (shoulder) and Jeff Demps (groin) will miss Sunday's game. 

The Minnesota Vikings ruled out five players for Sunday's Week 9 game at Dallas on Friday's official injury report. They were all listed among Sunday's inactive players for the Vikings.

The Vikings will be without defensive back Jamarca Sanford (groin), running back Matt Asiata (shoulder), cornerback Chris Cook (hip), tight end Rhett Ellison (ankle) and defensive tackle Fred Evans (knee) for the game.
