Jaguars' Parker Washington: Strong start in training camp
Washington is off to a good start in training camp, according to John Shipley of SI.com.
Washington is operating in a deep and talented WR corps that also includes Brian Thomas, Jakobi Meyers and Travis Hunter, but Shipley noted Sunday that Washington has routinely been the top target for QB Trevor Lawrence in practice during training camp. Meanwhile, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com relays that Thomas, a 2024 first-rounder and projected starter, also has started camp on a positive note. With Meyers also on track to see his share of volume this season and Hunter potentially making a splash when he's not logging cornerback snaps, Washington has plenty of competition for targets, but the chemistry he's displayed with Lawrence thus far this summer nonetheless bodes well for his chances of building off his strong effort down the stretch last season.

Jaguars' Brian Thomas: Off to good start in camp
Thomas has followed up his impressive spring with a good start to training camp, according to Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com.
That's an assessment shared by Jamal St. Cyr of News4JAX, who noted that Thomas continues to stack good days and came up with the catch of training camp during Monday morning's session. After seeing a dip in production in 2025 following his 87-1,282-10 line as a rookie the year prior, the third-year pro profiles as a bounce-back candidate this coming season, while working alongside fellow WRs Parker Washington, Jakobi Meyers and Travis Hunter, provided he continues to build positive momentum as the summer rolls along.

Jaguars' Chris Rodriguez: Works in team drills again
Rodriguez (foot) worked in team drills for a second consecutive day during Monday's padded practice, John Oehser and John Shipley of the Jaguars' official site report.
Rodriguez, who is bouncing back from an offseason left foot procedure, had worked only in individual drills during training camp's first three practices, but he's been able to upgrade his participation level since then, and in the process he had several long runs during Monday's session. As the summer progresses, Rodriguez and Bhayshul Tuten are in line to compete for the Jaguars' RB1 job following Travis Etienne's free-agent departure. While Tuten had the advantage of getting a head start due to Rodriguez's injury, the team's backfield pecking order has yet to be solidified ahead of Week 1, with a committee approach featuring Tuten and Rodriguez a likely outcome, and LeQuint Allen also a candidate to mix in.

Jaguars' Chris Rodriguez: Progressing in recovery
Rodriguez (foot) participated in team drills during Sunday's training camp practice, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Rodriguez has yet to participate fully in practice while working his way back from offseason surgery on his left foot. However, the fourth-year pro participated in team drills for the first time in training camp and even saw work with the first-team offense, per Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union. Rodriguez and Bhayshul Tuten continue to battle for the RB1 job following Travis Etienne's departure to New Orleans in free agency, but Tuten figures to see the bulk of carries in practice and preseason games until Rodriguez is fully healthy.

Jaguars' Danny Striggow: Competing for rotational snaps
Striggow enters training camp competing against Wesley Williams and Zach Durfee for rotational snaps at defensive end behind starters Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker, Paul Bretl of USA Today reports.
Striggow joined the Jaguars in May of 2025 as an undrafted free agent but impressed the coaching staff enough to appear in 10 regular-season games last year, finishing with 16 tackles (six solo), including 0.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery. Training camp and preseason games present Striggow with the opportunity to earn a larger role for himself for the 2026 season.

Jaguars' Jalen McLeod: Back on field for camp
McLeod (ankle) is participating at the Jaguars' training camp, Corey Perrine of The Florida Times-Union reports.
McLeod was unable to make his NFL debut in 2025 due to injury, but it looks like he's starting 2026 with a clean slate. Before suiting up for any regular-season action, he'll have to earn a spot on the 53-man roster among competition like Branson Combs and Yasir Abdullah.

Jaguars' Jourdan Lewis: Back at full strength
Lewis (foot) has been a full participant in training camp practices, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Lewis underwent season-ending foot surgery in late December, and his presence was missed in a big way for the Jaguars, especially in their loss to the Bills in the AFC wild-card round in January. The veteran corner worked on the side during minicamp but has fully participated in all practices to open training camp. Prior to his season-ending procedure, Lewis logged 39 tackles (21 solo), 10 pass defenses (including two interceptions) and one fumble recovery across 12 regular-season games in 2025.

Jaguars' Travis Hunter: Feeling fit and fast
Hunter (knee) said Friday that he has put on 10 pounds of muscle and is running 21-22.5 miles per hour, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
Hunter seems to be progressing well in his recovery from season-ending LCL surgery, and he has mixed into some team drills at practice, playing mostly with the defense at cornerback while occasionally mixing in with the offense at wide receiver. The second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft said he feels lighter on his feet as a result of the added muscle and that he's hoping to reach 23 miles per hour, which would put him in elite top-speed territory alongside the likes of Tyreek Hill (knee).

Jaguars' Jack Kiser: Absent with knee issue
Kiser (knee) was not present during Thursday's practice, Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union reports.
The outside linebacker seems to have picked up a problem with his right knee but isn't expected to have a particularly lengthy absence. The fact O'Halloran notes Kiser is expected back "later in camp" suggests the 2025 fourth-round pick should have a chance to return to the field with enough time to amply prepare for what's expected to be a starting role in 2026.

Jaguars' Chris Rodriguez: Being eased in
Rodriguez (foot) has been cleared to practice, but the Jaguars intend to take a cautious approach with the running back's participation level early in training camp, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
"It's a long training camp," head coach Liam Coen said. "It's a long season. We're trying to get (Rodriguez) back, without any sort of hiccups or bumps." Bhayshul Tuten is getting an early opportunity to build rapport with the first-team offense for the Jaguars, who let Travis Etienne walk in free agency and added Rodriguez in the offseason. Rodriguez's regular-season availability isn't in question at the moment, but it may take a while for him to ramp up to full participation in training camp.

Jaguars' Bhayshul Tuten: Early lead in RB competition?
With Chris Rodriguez (foot) not yet ready for team drills, Tuten got the bulk of the first-team reps with the offense during Wednesday's training camp practice, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
As Shipley notes, the battle for backfield slotting between Tuten and Rodriguez will be one to monitor closely, but for now Shipley suggests that it looks like Tuten -- who looked sharp during Wednesday's session -- is taking the lead early on. That said, Rodriguez is being eased back into the mix after having undergone an offseason foot procedure, so the competition between the two figures to heat up once he's able to work fully. Either way, with Travis Etienne -- who recorded 260 carries in 17 regular-season games in 2025 -- no longer in the mix, Tuten's role is destined to expand in 2026, but it remains to be seen how the team's carries will be distributed come Week 1, with a committee approach featuring Tuten, Rodriguez and LeQuint Allen, to a lesser degree, a plausible outcome.

Hunter is taking his first individual reps on defense, Shipley reports. The 2025 first-rounder is likely to be eased in during the early portion of camp, as he's working his way back from season-ending LCL surgery, but there doesn't appear to be any concerns about his status for Week 1 at this stage. Ballentine appeared in six games last regular season between New England (one)and Dallas (five), logging 23 total snaps on defense and 67 on special teams. He'll have his work cut out for him as he competes to earn a spot on the Jaguars' final 53-man roster for 2026.

Jaguars' Dane Jackson: Placed on reserve/retired list
The Jaguars placed Jackson (personal) on the reserve/retired list Tuesday.
Jackson signed with the Jaguars in early June after being released by the Bills but has decided to retire from football. The cornerback played in 55 regular-season games, and totalled 178 tackles (144 solo), 30 passes defensed and three interceptions. The 29-year-old's last game was the Bills' 33-30 overtime playoff loss to the Broncos. Jackson played one defensive snap in the contest and gave up a 26-yard touchdown to Marvin Mims with 55 seconds left in regulation. The Jags signed cornerback Corey Ballentine in a corresponding move.
