Tigers' Trey Sweeney: Shoulder issue persists
Sweeney felt discomfort in his right shoulder again Tuesday and is undergoing re-evaluation, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Sweeney resides on the 10-day injured list after starting the season there due to suffering a right shoulder strain at the start of camp. While it seems he was making progress, it appears a setback may have occurred with the discomfort reappearing.

Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Banged up
Manager Skip Schumaker said that Jung, who is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners, is "a little banged up," Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.
It's unclear when the issue first surfaced for Jung, but he finds himself on the bench Tuesday for the second time in the Rangers' past three games. The 28-year-old is expected to be available off the bench, so it appears the unspecified injury isn't a serious concern.

Bailey Horn P | DET
Tigers' Bailey Horn: Beginning rehab assignment
Horn (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday at Single-A Lakeland, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Horn missed the entirety of spring training while working his way back from an elbow procedure he underwent in the offseason, so he'll likely require an extended stay in the minors before coming off the injured list. Once healthy, the 28-year-old may take a middle-relief role with the big club after posting a 1.59 ERA over 11.1 frames with the Tigers last season.

Jacob deGrom SP | TEX
Rangers' Jacob deGrom: Awaiting MRI results
DeGrom underwent an MRI on his right knee Tuesday, the results of which could be known by the end of the night, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.
The right-hander felt something in the knee prior to Monday's start against the Mariners and was lifted after giving up one run over five frames when he experienced some tenderness. DeGrom downplayed the injury after the contest, but the team was apparently concerned enough to send him for medical imaging. The 37-year-old's availability for his next turn through the rotation remains up in the air for now.

Alonzo Tredwell SP | HOU
Astros' Alonzo Tredwell: Dealing with shoulder injury
Tredwell is sidelined with a strained shoulder and is without a timetable to return, Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline
Tredwell missed the last two months of 2024 with a shoulder strain but returned to hurl a career-high 100 innings in 2025 across Single-A, High-A and Double-A. The 23-year-old righty logged a 3.18 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 40:12 K:BB in 22.2 innings at Double-A to close last year.

Michael Harris CF | ATL
Braves' Michael Harris: Taking seat Tuesday
Harris is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels.
Harris started the first 11 games of the season but will get his first day off Tuesday. He began the campaign with a homer Opening Day and a three-hit showing in the second game, but he's batting just .143 (5-for-35) across the past nine contests. Eli White is receiving the start in center field Tuesday for Atlanta.

Patrick Bailey C | CLE
Giants' Patrick Bailey: Idle Tuesday
Bailey isn't in the lineup Tuesday versus Philadelphia.
Bailey went 1-for-4 in the series opener against the Phillies on Monday, but he will get a chance to rest Tuesday. In his place behind the plate, Daniel Susac will start and bat eighth.
-
Harrison Bader CF | SF
Giants' Harrison Bader: Sitting Tuesday
Bader isn't in the lineup Tuesday versus Philadelphia.
Bader has not hit well to begin 2026 and will get an opportunity to reset on the bench Tuesday. The outfielder has gone hitless in the majority of the games played so far and has yet to have a multi-hit game. Jared Oliva has the start in center field and is batting ninth in Bader's absence.

Ryan Forcucci SP | HOU
Astros' Ryan Forcucci: Nearing pro debut
Forcucci (elbow, lower back) should be ready to pitch for an Astros affiliate sometime in April, Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline reports.
Forcucci was on the mend from Tommy John surgery when the Astros drafted him in the third round in 2024, and he has yet to make his return from that injury. Callis also notes a lower-back injury for Forcucci, so it's possible his arm is fully recovered and it's his back that is delaying his pro debut at this point. Forcucci carries immense durability risk, but he had a monster upper-90s fastball in college and he could generate buzz in dynasty leagues once he returns to game action.

Jung Hoo Lee RF | SF
Giants' Jung Hoo Lee: On bench Tuesday
Lee isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus Philadelphia.
Lee is receiving his first rest day after getting off to rough start to 2026, going 2-for-16 in the last five games. Jerar Encarnacion gets the start in right field, batting seventh in Lee's place Tuesday.
