Drew Romo C | CHW
White Sox's Drew Romo: Resting up Wednesday
Romo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.
Romo will hit the bench after he went 1-for-7 with a walk and a run scored while starting behind the dish in the first two contests of the series. Jake Rogers will handle catching duties Wednesday.

Jake Burger 1B | TEX
Rangers' Jake Burger: Idle for series finale
Burger is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.
After making an early exit from Saturday's 3-0 loss to the Angels due to a left wrist contusion, Burger proceeded to start in the Rangers' ensuing three games and went 3-for-10 with two home runs, one double, four walks, one steal and three RBI. The wrist issue evidently isn't affecting his power production, but the Rangers will give Burger a maintenance day nonetheless for the series finale in Chicago. Joc Pederson will spell Burger at first base.

Bryan Woo SP | SEA
Mariners' Bryan Woo: Stumbles vs. Phillies
Woo (9-9) took the loss Wednesday against the Phillies, allowing six runs on five hits and a walk over four innings. He struck out five.
Woo was limited to 76 pitches Wednesday after missing his last start due to shoulder soreness, though he may have gotten an early hook regardless -- the Phillies tagged Woo for six runs over the first two frames, highlighted by a pair of home runs. In his previous three starts, Woo had given up just two runs across 18 innings while posting a 0.67 WHIP. His ERA now sits at 4.36 on the season with a 1.10 WHIP and 142:30 K:BB over 25 starts (142.1 innings). Woo will look to bounce back his next time out, which is tentatively lined up for next week in Boston.

Casey Mize SP | SD
Padres' Casey Mize: In line to start Friday
Padres manager Craig Stammen said Wednesday that Mize (ankle) felt good after his bullpen session and will start Friday against the Rays, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
Mize injured his right ankle during his previous start Saturday against the Twins. X-rays came back negative for the 29-year-old right-hander, and after making it through his bullpen session no worse for the wear, he'll return to the bump Friday on five days' rest. In four starts for the Padres since being acquired from the Tigers on Aug. 3, Mize has a 7.00 ERA and 1.56 WHIP over 18 innings.

Sean Murphy C | ATL
Braves' Sean Murphy: Drawing third straight start
Murphy will start at catcher and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.
Though he's produced a poor .167/.194/.200 slash line over 31 plate appearances since coming back from the 60-day injured list Aug. 3, Murphy will stick in the starting nine for a third straight game. The veteran backstop's strong defense appears to be fueling his playing time more than anything he's done with the bat.

Jesus Luzardo SP | PHI
Phillies' Jesus Luzardo: Blanks Mariners in win
Luzardo (12-5) earned the win Wednesday over Seattle, giving up just one hit and three walks over seven scoreless innings. He struck out nine.
It was another stellar effort from Luzardo, who's posted a 1.90 ERA across 90 frames in his last 14 starts. The southpaw's ERA is down to 3.09 across 27 starts (163 innings) this season with a 1.12 WHIP and 203 strikeouts, good for the fourth most in the majors. Luzardo currently lines up to face the Diamondbacks on the road in his next outing.

Erik Sabrowski RP | CLE
Guardians' Erik Sabrowski: Notches first save
Sabrowski earned the save in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Angels, allowing a hit while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.
With Cade Smith unavailable after pitching the previous two days, it was Sabrowski who got the call in the ninth inning Wednesday, tasked with protecting a one-run lead. The southpaw gave up an infield single to lead off the frame, but he rebounded to retire the next three batters en route to his first save this season. Sabrowski has been excellent of late, holding opponents scoreless in 10 straight appearances (eight innings) while claiming a high-leverage role in the Guardians' bullpen. Sabrowski's ERA is down to 3.00 through 39 innings this year with a 1.26 WHIP and 65:25 K:BB.

Grayson Rodriguez SP | LAA
Angels' Grayson Rodriguez: Sharp in no-decision
Rodriguez didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Guardians, allowing a run on seven hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out four.
It was a strong outing from Rodriguez, who held Cleveland to just one run on a fifth-inning sacrifice fly. The 26-year-old right-hander has been sharp recently, giving up just one run over 12.2 frames in his last two starts. Rodriguez's ERA now sits at 6.03 through 15 starts (71.2 innings) this season with a 1.52 WHIP and 65:31 K:BB. He's currently in line to face the Yankees at home his next time out.

Joey Cantillo SP | CLE
Guardians' Joey Cantillo: Issues seven walks Wednesday
Cantillo didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Angels, allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits and seven walks across six innings. He struck out one.
Cantillo somehow managed to turn in a quality start Wednesday despite issuing a career-high seven walks -- the southpaw allowed three runs over the first two innings before bearing down to blank the Halos over his final four frames. Command has been a struggle for Cantillo this season -- his 70 walks tie Robbie Ray for most given up in the majors. However, Cantillo's held opponents to just four earned runs across 16.2 frames in his last three outings, as he's lowered his ERA to 3.70 with a 1.45 WHIP and 145 strikeouts across 28 starts (136.1 innings) this season. Cantillo is currently in line to face the Blue Jays at home his next time out.
