Soriano (11-7) earned the win against the Mariners on Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six across seven innings.

Soriano gave up an early homer to Cal Raleigh before giving up another two runs in the fourth. Soriano was able to settle in to keep the Mariners off the board over his last three innings, and he received enough run support from his Blue Jays teammates to come away with his second win in five starts with Toronto. Since joining the Blue Jays, Soriano has a 4.13 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 22:10 K:BB over 28.1 innings. His next start is lined up to come on the road against the Guardians.

Marte is scheduled to start in the second leg of the Giants' doubleheader against the Diamondbacks on Saturday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The Giants need another arm for Saturday's nightcap, and while a corresponding move has yet to be announced, it will be the 22-year-old Marte who toes the rubber for Game 2. The right-hander has split his time between High-A Eugene and Double-A Richmond, combining for an 8-5 record in 22 games (20 starts) with a 3.85 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 113:41 K:BB over 107.2 innings.

Rengifo was removed from Saturday's 7-6 loss to the Rays due to a right knee sprain.

Rengifo appeared to injure his knee in the seventh inning while attempting to throw to home plate. He's flying back to San Diego, where he'll undergo further tests to determine the severity of the knee injury and establish a recovery timeline. Austin Hays and Gavin Sheets would both be in line for more playing time if Rengifo were to miss extended time.

Pecko will start for the Astros in Sunday's series finale against the Mets, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Mike Burrows (elbow) made his third rehab outing this past Wednesday, so Pecko will get one more turn through the rotation until the former is officially cleared to return from the injured list. Pecko has struggled over the first two games of his major-league career, allowing seven runs on eight hits (including two homers) and seven walks while striking out five across eight innings.

The Mets placed Robert on outright waivers Saturday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Robert missed nearly three months this season due to a back injury, but his .720 OPS for the year is the highest mark he's recorded since 2023. He's been especially hot at the plate in August, slashing .286/.342/.557 with six homers, 11 RBI and 10 runs scored through 79 plate appearances this month. That being said, it's unlikely another team will be willing to pay him the $4.9 million he's still owed, so he figures to clear waivers and play out the rest of the season in Queens.

Alexander isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics.

After going 1-for-5 during his first game back from the injured list Friday, Alexander will move to the bench Saturday as the O's look to ease him back into action after missing more than a month. Christian Encarnacion-Strand will man the hot corner and bat fourth.

Uribe (forearm) is expected to return from the injured list before Monday's game against the Cubs, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Out since Aug. 14 with a strained forearm, Uribe was cleared to begin a rehab assignment at High-A Wisconsin on Tuesday and threw two scoreless innings while walking one batter and striking out three across two appearances. Once activated, he'll reclaim his role as Milwaukee's top setup man in front of closer Trevor Megill.

Bellinger isn't in the lineup for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Red Sox.

Bellinger will get a breather during the second half of the twin bill after going 1-for-3 with a strikeout during Game 1. Spencer Jones, Trent Grisham and Heliot Ramos will start across the outfield for New York while Bellinger rests.

Duran isn't in the lineup for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Yankees.

Duran sat out the first half of Saturday's festivities, and the Red Sox will keep him on the bench to begin Game 2 while formidable lefty Max Fried takes the mound for New York. Eli White will pick up another start in left field as a result and bat ninth.

Cavalli was removed from Saturday's game against the Marlins after getting hit on the leg by a comebacker, Danielle Allentuck of The Washington Post reports.

Cavalli limped off the field after taking a 93-mph comebacker off his lower leg at the end of the fourth inning and didn't come back out for the fifth. He'll likely be sent for imaging to determine whether he suffered a fracture, and the Nationals may provide more information on his status in the near future. The 28-year-old righty gave up no hits and three walks while striking out eight batters in four shutout innings before his premature exit.
