Gordon completed five innings in a no-decision against Baltimore on Monday, allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out three batters.

Gordon was cruising until the fifth inning, when back-to-back Orioles doubles resulted in a run. The right-hander quickly rebounded, retiring the next three batters to keep the score tied 1-1. However, a lengthy rain delay before the sixth frame ended Gordon's outing at just 60 pitches (40 strikes). Though that brought an end to his bid for a second straight quality start, Gordon still posted a strong performance, and he ended an up-and-down August by allowing just two runs over 12 innings across his final two starts. He'll look to build on that momentum the next time he takes the mound, which is on track to be a home matchup against St. Louis.

Machado went 4-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Monday's 5-0 win over the Reds.

Machado doubled in his first plate appearance before adding singles in three of his next four trips to the plate, giving him a season-high four hits. The double also snapped a 10-game stretch without an extra-base hit, during which Machado batted just .184. Despite Monday's performance, the veteran third baseman is having a down year overall, batting .220 with a .712 OPS across 135 games.

Abreu picked up the save in Monday's 6-3 win over the White Sox. He allowed no hits and a walk while striking out two over a scoreless inning.

With Josh Hader potentially unavailable after being used in three of the past four games, Abreu got the ball in the ninth inning and secured his eighth save without issue. As the Astros' top right-handed relief option, Abreu owns a 3.93 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, 68:39 K:BB and 12 holds over 52.2 frames in 2026.

Kittredge notched a save against the Rockies on Monday, allowing one hit and striking out one batter over one scoreless inning.

In an usually low-scoring affair at Coors Field, Kittredge entered in the ninth frame with Baltimore clinging to a 2-1 lead. The Rockies put the tying run in scoring position on a one-out double, but Kittredge then retired the next two batters -- with a huge hand from Colton Cowser, who reached above the outfield wall to rob Jake McCarthy of what would have been a walk-off homer -- to notch his ninth save. Five of those saves came in August, when the righty reliever allowed just three earned runs over 12.2 frames while posting an 8:2 K:BB and adding three holds along with two victories. Kittredge finished the month with three saves over the final six days, so he seems to be strengthening his hold on the Orioles' closer role.

Kay (9-7) took the loss Monday, allowing six runs on six hits and two walks over 4.2 innings against the Astros. He struck out five.

Kay faded as his outing went on, exiting at 89 pitches (59 strikes) with the bases loaded and two outs in the fifth inning. Two inherited runners scored after the southpaw departed. The 31-year-old will close August with a 4.36 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 26:8 K:BB across 33 innings (six starts) in the month. With an overall 4.28 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 113:49 K:BB over 136.2 innings (28 appearances), Kay is tentatively scheduled to pitch Saturday against the Twins.

Povich completed five innings against Colorado on Monday, allowing one run on five hits and three walks while striking out four batters in a no-decision.

Povich was called up from Triple-A to make the start, as Baltimore decided to give its other starters extra rest. The southpaw did about as well as could be hoped for given the assignment in the Colorado altitude, surrendering just one run despite allowing at least one baserunner in all but the first inning. Povich didn't return after a lengthy rain delay halted the game before the start of the sixth inning, but he probably wouldn't have gone much deeper anyway given that he had thrown 87 pitches at that point. It remains to be seen what the Orioles' plans are for him moving forward, and it's possible Povich will be sent back down to the minors if the team doesn't move to a six-man rotation.

Singer (5-13) took the loss Monday against the Padres, allowing four runs on 10 hits while striking out five and walking none over 4.1 innings.

Singer unraveled in the fourth inning, surrendering six consecutive hits before recording an out as San Diego pushed across four runs. The 10 hits matched a season high for the right-hander, who has now allowed at least three runs in eight consecutive starts. Across 27 starts this season, Singer owns a 4.83 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 117:45 K:BB over 141.2 innings. He's slated to face the Brewers on Sunday.

Lambert did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing two runs on three hits, five walks and a hit-by-pitch over 4.2 innings against the White Sox. He struck out six.

Lambert was done in by poor control, issuing six free passes as he departed at 104 pitches (60 strikes) without finishing five full frames. The 29-year-old struggled in August, posting an 0-2 record with a 5.76 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 31:17 K:BB across 29.2 innings (six starts) in the month. Lambert will take an 8-7 record with a 3.66 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 131:56 K:BB over 132.2 innings (24 starts) into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

Foscue went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Monday's 8-1 victory over the Athletics.

Foscue demolished a center-cut fastball from Gage Jump into the left-field seats for a solo homer in the fourth inning. The infielder has been hot at the dish of late, slashing .282/.349/.590 with three homers over his past 15 contests. With most of his starts coming against left-handed pitching, Foscue is hitting .261/.327/.494 with 10 homers, 26 RBI and 21 runs across 199 plate appearances this season.

King (9-9) earned the win Monday against the Reds, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out six over six scoreless innings.

King received plenty of support from San Diego's lineup with a four-run fourth inning and cruised to his second straight scoreless outing, giving him 13 consecutive shutout frames. The right-hander has completed at least six innings in nine of his last 11 starts, lowering his ERA from 3.55 to 3.11 during that stretch. King also owns a 1.17 WHIP with 141 strikeouts across 162 innings this season. He's lined up to face his former team, the Yankees, in his next start.
