  • Cody Freeman 3B | TEX

Rangers' Cody Freeman: Active in Monday's win

Freeman went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base in Monday's 8-1 win over the Athletics.

Freeman deposited a pair of RBI singles and swiped his first bag of the season as part of a winning effort. The 25-year-old has been productive in a small sample size, slashing .300/.373/.400 with a homer, six RBI and seven runs across 69 big-league plate appearances. Since being recalled Aug. 14, Freeman has claimed a fairly regular role in the infield due to Josh Jung (calf) being sidelined.

  • Gage Jump SP | ATH

Athletics' Gage Jump: Struggles in ninth loss

Jump (6-9) took the loss Monday, allowing seven runs on six hits and three walks over 4.1 innings against Texas. He struck out two.

Jump worked a scoreless first inning but couldn't keep Texas off the board in any of the next four frames, departing at 91 pitches (53 strikes). The southpaw got off to a solid start in his big-league career but has hit a wall in the second half, compiling a 6.95 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 51:30 K:BB over 44 innings (nine starts) since the All-Star break. He'll take a 5.15 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 99:45 K:BB across 92.2 innings (18 starts) into his next outing, lined up for the weekend against Seattle.

  • Kodai Senga RP | NYM

Mets' Kodai Senga: Collects fifth save

Senga struck out one and walked one in a scoreless ninth inning Monday against the Rays to secure his fifth save of the season.

Senga entered with a one-run lead and worked around a leadoff walk to Jonny DeLuca to preserve the victory. The right-hander has been sharp throughout August, collecting all five of his saves while allowing just two runs across 10.1 innings with a 12:5 K:BB. Senga should continue to serve as the Mets' primary ninth-inning option until Devin Williams (shoulder) returns.

  • Jacob deGrom SP | TEX

Rangers' Jacob deGrom: Dominant in 10th win

DeGrom (10-9) earned the win Monday, allowing a hit and no walks over seven scoreless innings in an 8-1 win over the Athletics. He struck out eight.

Coming off a disastrous eight-run outing last time out, deGrom looked like his peak self, allowing just one hitter to reach base across seven shutout frames. The 38-year-old continues to rack up strikeouts, as he's now punched out eight-plus batters 10 times this season and boasts a 10.9 K/9. DeGrom will take a 4.00 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 167:37 K:BB across 137.1 innings (26 starts) into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Saturday against the Rays.

  • Cooper Pratt SS | MIL

Brewers' Cooper Pratt: Homers in blowout loss

Pratt went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 17-3 loss to the Cubs.

Pratt launched a two-run homer over the left-field fence in the seventh inning, though it had little impact on the result as the Cubs cruised to a blowout victory. It marked the shortstop's first homer since July 25. Through 187 plate appearances, the 22-year-old rookie is slashing .270/.339/.371 with three homers, 22 RBI, 25 runs and 12 stolen bases.

  • Ronel Blanco SP | HOU

Astros' Ronel Blanco: Returning to big leagues

The Astros will recall Blanco from Triple-A Sugar Land to start Tuesday's game against the White Sox, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander will make his return to the Astros after he had submitted a 7.71 ERA and 1.46 WHIP with 20 strikeouts across 23.1 innings in his five appearances (four starts) before he was demoted to Triple-A on Aug. 16. Blanco was roughed up for 10 earned runs in just 2.1 innings in his most recent start for Sugar Land, so fantasy managers can't stream him with much confidence Tuesday. He could be in line for just a spot start for the Astros while the team looks to build in a day of rest for all members of the rotation.

  • Ian Seymour RP | TB

Rays' Ian Seymour: Fans 10 in loss

Seymour (9-6) took the loss Monday against the Mets, allowing three runs on six hits while striking out 10 without issuing a walk over 6.1 innings.

Seymour generated 19 whiffs on 52 swings while recording his second double-digit strikeout performance of the season. He notched seven of his 10 strikeouts over the first three innings, including coming one pitch away from an immaculate inning in the first. Seymour surrendered a solo homer to Mark Vientos in the seventh before exiting and watching another score from the dugout. He has now delivered a quality start in five of his last eight outings. Despite losing three straight starts, allowing 10 runs (nine earned) across 17 innings, he's racked up 23 strikeouts during that span. Seymour owns a 4.21 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 138:32 K:BB across 113.1 innings heading into his next scheduled start against the Rangers.

  • Cubs' Michael Conforto: Clubs homer off bench

Conforto went 1-for-1 with a three-run home run in Monday's 17-3 win over Milwaukee.

With position player Andrew Vaughn pitching, Conforto came off the bench and crushed a three-run homer in the eighth inning. The 33-year-old's playing time is somewhat sporadic, but he's brought some juice with three homers over his past seven contests. Overall, Conforto is hitting .235/.325/.479 with 13 homers, 37 RBI, 29 runs and a stolen base in 246 plate appearances.

  • Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC

Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Lifts eighth homer

Hoerner went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's 17-3 win over the Brewers.

Hoerner contributed early in the blowout win, launching a solo homer to left field in the first inning. It marked the 29-year-old's first long ball since Aug. 4, as he slashed .287/.309/.333 with eight RBI, seven runs and five stolen bases during the 22-game homer drought. On the year, Hoerner is hitting .263/.319/.362 with eight homers, 62 RBI, 55 runs and 22 stolen bases across 135 contests.

  • Robert Stock SP | NYM

Mets' Robert Stock: Earns first win in seven years

Stock (1-3) earned the win Monday against the Rays, allowing five hits while striking out four over 5.1 scoreless innings.

Stock kept Tampa Bay off the board into the sixth inning en route to his first MLB win since 2019. The 5.1-inning effort marked the deepest start of his major-league career and represented a major bounce-back after he surrendered seven runs to Milwaukee in his previous outing. Across six starts for the Mets this season, Stock owns a 5.88 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 25:13 K:BB over 26 innings. He's slated to make his next start Monday against the Marlins.
