Andres Munoz RP | SEA
Mariners' Andres Munoz: Blows another save Monday
Munoz blew the save Monday against Boston, allowing one run on one hit and no walks in 1.1 innings. He struck out three.
It was a rare instance where Munoz was tasked with recording more than three outs, and he took his fourth blown save in his last 10 outings and ninth of the season. The hard-throwing right-hander endured a rough month of August, posting a 5.56 ERA with five saves in nine chances covering 11 appearances, so he's certainly testing Seattle's trust with him in its closer role.

Kyle Harrison SP | MIL
Brewers' Kyle Harrison: Shelled in fourth loss
Harrison (10-4) took the loss Monday, allowing nine runs on 10 hits and two walks over 3.2 innings against the Cubs. He struck out three.

The southpaw will close August with a 5.01 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and 29:9 K:BB across 23.1 innings (five starts). With an overall 3.45 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 130:29 K:BB over 107 innings (22 starts), Harrison will look to get back on track next time out, tentatively scheduled for Sunday against the Reds.

He's scheduled to make his next start Monday against the Phillies.

Cubs' Clay Holmes: Stellar in sixth win
Holmes (6-6) earned the win Monday, allowing five hits and two walks over six scoreless innings against the Brewers. He struck out eight.
Provided with ample run support, Holmes was locked in on the mound, putting together a scoreless outing for the second straight start. George Kirby SP | SEA
Mariners' George Kirby: Uneven results continue
Kirby took a no-decision against the Red Sox on Monday, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out two.
The ball was flying around Fenway Park on Monday early and often, and Kirby was tagged for four extra-base hits on the evening. The right-hander has been a hit-or-miss fantasy option since coming back from the All-Star break, giving up at least five runs in four of his last eight outings while yielding less than two in the other half. He'll be aiming for some consistency in a favorable home matchup with the Athletics this weekend, carrying a 4.19 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 128:36 K:BB over 152.2 innings.

Garrett Acton RP | MIN
Twins' Garrett Acton: Expected to join big-league club
Acton is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Saint Paul on Tuesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
This move won't become official until rosters expand Tuesday. Payton Tolle SP | BOS
Red Sox's Payton Tolle: Punches out six in shaky start
Tolle took a no-decision against the Mariners on Monday, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out six.
Tolle had a hard time with hard contact Monday, giving up three extra-base hits on the evening in a rough outing. He surrendered more than three runs for the first time since July 20 versus the Orioles, but he's now pitched at least five innings in eight consecutive starts. The left-hander will try to rebound his next time out in Baltimore, still holding a strong 3.23 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 147:37 K:BB over 131 innings on the campaign.

Ross is expected to have his contract selected from Triple-A Saint Paul ahead of Tuesday's game against the Tigers, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

He's slashing .249/.353/.458 with 15 home runs, 55 RBI, 13 stolen bases and 56 runs in 102 games in his first season at Triple-A and has primarily played third base, shortstop and center field for the Saints in 2026.

Ryan Jeffers C | MIN
Twins' Ryan Jeffers: Leaves yard twice in four-RBI game
Jeffers went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI and a walk in Monday's 11-1 win over the Tigers.
It was Jeffers' first multi-homer game of the season and the fourth of his career. The backstop snapped a monthlong power outage; his last homer came on the final day of July in Seattle. He's been a strong fantasy option at catcher for the most part when healthy, slashing .275/.380/.490 with 12 big flies, 46 RBI, one stolen base and 45 runs scored over 296 plate appearances.
