  • Brewers' Christian Yelich: Resting Sunday

Yelich is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

With Milwaukee wrapping up its season-opening series with a day game and a lefty (Anthony Kay) on the hill for the White Sox, the left-handed-hitting Yelich will get a breather. William Contreras will get a day off from catching but will stick in the lineup at designated hitter in place of Yelich, who went 5-for-9 with a walk, a stolen base, three runs and two RBI in Milwaukee's first two games.

  • Brewers' Garrett Mitchell: Idle Sunday

Mitchell is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Mitchell has started the season strong with two hits, three walks, two stolen bases, three RBI and two runs through the first two games, but he'll hit the bench along with fellow left-handed hitters Christian Yelich, Jake Bauers and David Hamilton as Milwaukee stocks up on right-handed bats to counter southpaw Anthony Kay. Blake Perkins will cover center field in Mitchell's place Sunday.

  • Jake Bauers 1B | MIL

Brewers' Jake Bauers: Sitting against southpaw

Bauers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Bauers went 3-for-10 with a home run, three RBI and two additional runs through the Brewers' first two contests of the season, but he'll hit the bench Sunday against southpaw Anthony Kay. Especially while Andrew Vaughn (hand) and Jackson Chourio (hand) are on the shelf, Bauers should have a clear runway to regular playing time against right-handed pitching.

  • Yainer Diaz C | HOU

Astros' Yainer Diaz: Getting breather Sunday

Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Diaz will get a break Sunday after starting the first three games of the season. He's yet to get his bat going, having gone 2-for-12 with a walk, two RBI, a run and five strikeouts. Christian Vazquez is starting behind the plate in the series finale, batting ninth.

  • Jake Meyers CF | HOU

Astros' Jake Meyers: Taking seat Sunday

Meyers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Meyers has gone 2-for-8 with a walk, a double, a stolen base, two RBI and two runs through two contests but will sit for the second time in Houston's first four games of the season. Joey Loperfido will shift to center field Sunday while Yordan Alvarez picks up a start in the outfield.

  • David Hamilton 3B | MIL

Brewers' David Hamilton: Taking seat against southpaw

Hamilton is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

After starting at third base in the first two games of the season, Hamilton will retreat to the bench against southpaw Anthony Kay. Luis Rengifo will cover the hot corner in his place. Hamilton has helped fantasy managers early on by going 1-for-4 with four walks, three stolen bases and three runs.

  • Oswald Peraza 2B | LAA

Angels' Oswald Peraza: Out of Sunday's lineup

Peraza is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Peraza has gone 4-for-11 with a homer while starting the first three games of the year at second base. Adam Frazier will pick up a start at the keystone Sunday to close out the series in Houston.

  • White Sox's Everson Pereira: Drawing third straight start

Pereira will start in right field and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Brewers.

Pereira will open the season with a third straight start after going 0-for-6 with a walk and five strikeouts through the first two contests. Though White Sox manager Will Venable is giving him a shot to become the primary right fielder, the 24-year-old likely has a short leash given his career .442 OPS in 176 big-league plate appearances coming into the season.

  • Angels' Logan O'Hoppe: Not starting Sunday

O'Hoppe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

O'Hoppe has gone 3-for-11 with a run scored in the first three games of the season, but he's also struck out five times and committed three errors. Travis d'Arnaud will step in behind the plate to catch for righty Jack Kochanowicz.

  • White Sox's Luisangel Acuna: On bench Sunday

Acuna is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

The 24-year-old picked up starts in center field and shortstop in the first two games of the season, going 1-for-7 at the dish. With former Mets teammate Brandon Sproat on the mound for Milwaukee, Acuna will cede his spot in the lineup Sunday to Tristan Peters, who will draw the start in center field and bat ninth.
