The Mets transferred Reid-Foley (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Thursday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of waiver claim Jose Azocar. Reid-Foley had already been ruled out for the season with his right shoulder injury.

The Mets optioned Stewart to Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

He joined the club earlier this week when J.D. Martinez went on paternity leave, but with Martinez back on the active roster Stewart will head back to the minors. Stewart got one start during his most recent stint with the big club, going 1-for-3 with a run scored.

The Mets activated Martinez from the paternity list Thursday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Martinez missed the series against the Red Sox while tending to more important matters but will be back for his club's weekend series versus the Reds. DJ Stewart was optioned in a corresponding move.

De La Cruz is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

De La Cruz is slashing a woeful .196/.217/.265 with a 30.2 percent strikeout rate in 27 games since joining the Pirates. He's seen his playing time dip lately as a result, as he's now started just half of the club's last eight contests. Connor Joe will patrol right field Thursday.

D'Arnaud isn't in Atlanta's lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies.

D'Arnaud has seemingly taken over as Atlanta's primary option behind the plate, but he will take a seat Thursday while Sean Murphy catches for Reynaldo Lopez and bats sixth.

McCutchen (knee) remains out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

McCutchen had to be scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Cubs due to lingering left knee soreness, which is the same injury he just returned from last week. He'll miss a second straight start Thursday and is considered day-to-day. Bryan Reynolds will shift into the designated hitter spot for the Pirates while Billy McKinney handles left field.

Merrifield (head) isn't in Atlanta's lineup Thursday against the Rockies.

Merrifield will sit down for the second game in a row after getting hit in the head by a pitch during Tuesday's contest. In his place, Luke Williams will start at the keystone and bat ninth.

Conine is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Phillies.

With southpaw Ranger Suarez toeing the slab for the Phillies, the left-handed hitting Conine will grab a seat. David Hensley will patrol right field for the Marlins in the series opener.

Romo is not in the lineup for Thursday's game in Atlanta.

Romo was in the lineup for each of the Rockies' last four contests (three at catcher, one at designated hitter), but he will begin this one on the bench. Hunter Goodman is behind the plate for the series finale.

Wynns (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville on Sept. 17, MLB.com reports.

Wynns suffered a right teres major tear but was recently cleared to throw to bases. He is on the 60-day injured list and not eligible to return until Sept. 27, two days before the end of the season. While it's possible he could make a late-season return, it wouldn't seem to be a given that he's added to the Reds' roster.
