Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Glasnow has a sprained right elbow and is unlikely to return this season, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

The news of Glasnow's sprain comes as somewhat of a surprise, considering Roberts previously said that initial scans on the right-hander's elbow were "promising." Glasnow will be shut down from throwing for the time being, and although he hasn't officially been ruled out for the season yet, it's likely that the only way he pitches again in 2024 is if the Dodgers make a deep postseason run. Glasnow tossed a career-high 134 innings over his 22 starts this season, going 9-6 with a 3.49 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 168:35 K:BB across 134 innings.

Jones isn't in the Rockies' lineup for Saturday's game against the Cubs.

Jones will get a breather Saturday after going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts during a victory in Friday's series opener. While he watches from the dugout, Jordan Beck, Brenton Doyle and Jake Cave will start in Colorado's outfield.

Benson (finger) isn't in the Reds' lineup Saturday versus Minnesota.

Benson will be missing his second game in a row since he left Thursday's game after getting hit in the fingers by a pitch during a bunt attempt. While he continues to heal, Spencer Steer, TJ Friedl and Jake Fraley will form the Reds' outfield trio Saturday.

Lux isn't in the Dodgers' lineup Saturday against Atlanta.

Left-hander Chris Sale will toe the rubber for Atlanta on Saturday, meaning the lefty-hitting Lux will ride the pine to begin the game. Enrique Hernandez will fill in at second base and bat ninth.

Chaparro isn't in the Nationals' lineup for Saturday's game against Miami.

Chaparro has gone 0-for-8 with three strikeouts through the first two games of Washington's series against the Marlins, and he'll now get a chance to regroup Saturday. Juan Yepez will fill in as the Nats' designated hitter and bat third.

Abrams (shoulder) isn't in the Nationals' lineup for Saturday's game against the Marlins.

Left shoulder soreness prevented Abrams from playing in Friday's game, and he'll need at least one more day to recover Saturday. While he rests, Nasim Nunez will get the starting nod at shortstop and bat ninth.

Winker isn't in the Mets' lineup for Saturday's game against the Phillies, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The left-handed bat of Winker will sit down to begin Saturday's game while fellow left-hander Kolby Allard starts on the mound for Philly. Brandon Nimmo, Harrison Bader and Starling Marte will make up the Mets' outfield unit while Winker rests.

Lindor (back) isn't in the Mets' lineup for Saturday's game versus the Phillies, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Back soreness forced Lindor to make an early exit from Friday's game in the seventh inning, and he'll need at least one more day to recover before returning to the Mets' starting nine. While Lindor rests, Luisangel Acuna will make his MLB debut, starting at shortstop and batting ninth.

President of baseball operations David Stearns said Saturday that Blackburn has a spinal fluid leak in his back, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

The Mets aren't sure exactly how Blackburn suffered the injury, but the team is shutting him down for the time being. Stearns noted that the right-hander's injury isn't expected to be a long-term issue, though there's no telling how long he will be held out.

Conine isn't in the Marlins' lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals.

The lefty-hitting Conine will grab a seat on the bench to begin Saturday's contest while the lefty-throwing Patrick Corbin starts on the mound for Washington. Kyle Stowers, Javier Sanoja and Jesus Sanchez will start across Miami's outfield while Conine rests.
