Hoerner went 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored in Monday's 9-2 win over the Athletics.

Hoerner chipped in two of Chicago's 18 hits and recorded the team's only walk in the easy win. The infielder is batting .327 this month, which has pushed his season average up to .264. Hoerner is mostly a contact hitter, but he's at his best once he's on the basepaths, as he leads the Cubs with 29 stolen bases in 34 attempts.

Contreras went 1-for-2 with a two-run double, two walks and a stolen base in Monday's 6-2 win over the Phillies.

Contreras opened the scoring with a two-run double in the third inning and was part of a double steal in the seventh. Over his past 10 games, the catcher has three multi-hit efforts with five extra-base hits and 10 RBI. On the season, he is hitting .281 with 22 homers, 90 RBI, 94 runs scored and seven steals across 640 plate appearances.

Paredes went 3-for-4 with two RBI in Monday's 9-2 win over the Athletics.

For the second time in his last four games, Paredes recorded three hits. The infielder is batting a robust .483 over his last eight contests, and it looks like he's settling in with the Cubs after struggling initially following the trade that brought him to Chicago in July. Paredes has become a key cog in his new team's offensive attack lately.

Suzuki went 3-for-5 with a run scored in Monday's 9-2 win over the Athletics.

Suzuki had three singles among 18 hits overall for the Cubs. The outfielder has once again been a steady performer, as he's now batting .278 with an .835 OPS across 123 games. That's in line with the .285 average and .842 OPS he posted last season. Suzuki also has exactly 20 home runs in each of the last two years, though he still has time to set a new career high in 2024.

Rojas went 1-for-1 with two walks, one RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in Monday's 9-0 win over Atlanta.

Rojas was a thorn in Atlanta's side all night, reaching base and coming around to score in each of his three plate appearances. The shortstop has now hit safely in eight straight contests with a homer and a steal. On the season, he is hitting .297 with five home runs, 35 RBI, 39 runs scored and eight steals across 315 plate appearances.

Swanson went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and an additional RBI in Monday's 9-2 win over the Athletics.

While Swanson has had a disappointing season overall by his standards, he's at least trying to finish it on a high note. The shortstop is batting .305 in September with three home runs, nine RBI and 15 runs scored in 14 games. The surge has pushed Swanson's season average up to .237, and he now has 15 total long balls through 139 games.

Imanaga (14-3) got the win Monday against the A's, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out 11 over six innings.

Imanaga recorded another quality start Monday and set a new career high for strikeouts in the process. It was Imanaga's 18th quality start of the season, which ties him with Chris Sale and Aaron Nola for third most in the National League. The 31-year-old rookie now has three starts this season of 10 or more strikeouts, and all three have come after the All-Star break. Imanaga has a 3.03 ERA and 1.03 WHIP through 166.1 innings this season. 

Freeman went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Monday's 9-0 win over Atlanta.

Freeman put an exclamation mark on a six-run seventh inning for the Dodgers with a three-run blast off Aaron Bummer. The first baseman has gone just 6-for-34 with two extra-base hits over his past 10 games but has notched hits in three straight contests. On the season, he is hitting .280 with 22 home runs, 87 RBI, 77 runs scored and seven steals across 599 plate appearances.

Fried (9-10) took the loss against the Dodgers on Monday, allowing three runs on two hits and three walks with seven strikeouts over six innings.

Fried didn't receive any run support from his offense but generally lacked command, throwing 57 strikes and generating only eight whiffs on 98 pitches. He has yielded three earned runs or fewer in seven of his past 10 outings but has just two wins to show for it. On the season, the southpaw owns a 3.49 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 151:54 K:BB across 159.2 innings and lines up for a favorable matchup with the Marlins this weekend.

Yamamoto did not factor into the decision in Monday's 9-0 win against Atlanta, allowing four hits and two walks with three strikeouts over four scoreless innings.

Yamamoto generated a solid 10 whiffs on 72 pitches but also threw just 42 strikes. Despite the shaky control, the 26-year-old was able to increase his workload from 59 pitches Tuesday and has not allowed an earned run over eight innings in his two outings since returning from the injured list. On the season, he owns a 2.63 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 95:19 K:BB across 82 innings and lines up for a favorable home matchup with the Rockies this weekend.
