Arraez underwent surgery Wednesday to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Arraez initially injured the thumb back in late June but played through the issue for the remainder of the season. The expectation is that he will be ready for the start of spring training. Arraez will be eligible for salary arbitration for the final time this offseason.

McNeil will not be in the lineup Wednesday for Game 3 of the NLCS versus the Dodgers, Andy Martino of SNY.tv reports.

McNeil was added to the Mets' NLCS roster after recovering from a fractured right wrist but has been limited to just one pinch-hitting appearance so far, and it appears Jose Iglesias will get another start at second base in Game 3. Iglesias is slashing just .222/.263/.222 so far during the postseason.

Yamamoto will start Thursday in Game 4 of the NLCS against the Mets, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Yamamoto was able to bounce back in Game 5 of the NLDS by throwing five shutout frames against the Padres after he had given up five runs in just three innings during Game 1. He'll now be tasked with keeping quiet a Mets offense that owns a .698 OPS since the start of the postseason.

Manager Dave Roberts said he expects Lux (hip) to be back in the lineup Wednesday for Game 3 of the NLCS, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.

Lux was absent from the lineup in Game 2 after being removed from Game 1 due to hip-flexor tightness. The second baseman is 5-for-19 with a home run and two walks in the 2024 postseason. If he is back in the lineup as expected Wednesday, he will be facing Mets' right-handed starter Luis Severino.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza on Tuesday confirmed that Quintana will start Thursday in Game 4 of the NLCS versus the Dodgers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Quintana has permitted just one unearned run over 11 innings in two starts this postseason, and, including those two outings, boasts a 0.57 ERA across his last eight starts dating back to late August. He will be opposed by Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Tuesday that Martinez will likely be in the lineup Wednesday in Game 3 of the NLCS, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

Jesse Winker started at designated hitter in each of the first two games of the series, going 2-for-6 with a 2:2 K:BB. The Dodgers are slated to start another right-hander, Walker Buehler, in Game 3, but it sounds like Martinez will receive his first start of the series. The veteran is 4-for-14 with three RBI and a 4:2 K:BB so far this postseason.

Kershaw (toe) said Monday in an interview on FOX that he plans to continue his baseball career in 2025, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Kershaw returned from left shoulder surgery in late July to make seven starts but saw his season end in late August due to a bone spur in his left big toe. It's not clear whether he might need surgery on the toe or if it will heal from rest, but Kershaw noted Monday that his shoulder and elbow feel "great." Kershaw has a $7.5 million player option for 2025 and it's not known if he just plans to pick that up or he and the Dodgers might work out a different agreement. Slated to turn 37 in March, Kershaw posted a 4.50 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 24:9 K:BB over 30 innings in 2024.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed Monday that Buehler will start Wednesday in Game 3 of the NLCS against the Mets, Nick Hamilton of SiriusXM reports.

The Dodgers elected to go with an opener (Ryan Brasier) and bulk reliever (Landon Knack) in Game 2, setting Buehler up to pitch on the road in Game 3 Wednesday. Buehler allowed six runs and didn't record a single strikeout over five innings in his NLDS Game 3 start versus the Padres. He will be opposed by Luis Severino on Wednesday.

Severino will start Wednesday in Game 3 of the NLCS against the Dodgers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Severino will not be with the Mets in Los Angeles for Game 2, as he's already headed back to New York in advance of his Game 3 start so that he can get plenty of rest. The right-hander has posted quality starts in each of his two postseason outings so far, allowing a combined seven runs (six earned) with a 10:2 K:BB over 12 innings. He'll be opposed by Walker Buehler in Game 3.

Pages will start in center field and bat ninth Monday in Game 2 of the NLCS versus the Mets.

Enrique Hernandez got the call in center field in Game 1, but it will be Pages there for Game 2 as Hernandez shifts to second base. It will be the first start this postseason for Pages, who went hitless in two plate appearances off the bench in Game 3 of the NLDS against the Padres after entering as a pinch runner.
