The Brewers reassigned Misiorowski to minor-league camp Friday.

Misiorowski showed the good and the bad parts of his profile in his 7.2 innings this spring, striking out nine but walking five. The hard-throwing right-hander will begin the 2025 season in the Triple-A Nashville rotation and could make some starts for the Brewers this season, but a permanent shift to the bullpen remains a possibility if he can't throw more strikes.

Stephenson will open the season on the 10-day injured list after being diagnosed with a low-grade oblique strain, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Stephenson underwent tests for what had been described as a back injury, but an MRI revealed a strain to his oblique. That the strain is considered minor gives Stephenson a chance to keep his IL stint brief, but oblique issues can linger. With Stephenson out, Jose Trevino will open the season as the Reds' top catcher. Cincinnati has just two catchers on its 40-man roster, which leaves non-roster invitee Austin Wynns as a good bet to be the No. 2 backstop when camp breaks.

Arenado is just 4-for-30 with one home run in his first 12 Grapefruit League games.

While the numbers aren't good, Arenado insists that he's "seeing the ball really well" this spring after having a "really hard time picking up the ball" last spring, per MLB.com. After an offseason of trade rumors, Arenado remains in St. Louis and will again be the club's everyday third baseman. He'll seek to bounce back offensively in 2025 after slashing a disappointing .272/.325/.394 with 16 home runs over 152 contests last season.

Chaparro was scratched from Friday's lineup against Atlanta after injuring his left side during batting practice, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Chaparro has put up a 1.008 OPS this spring as he competes for the final spot on the Nationals' bench, but he could now be looking at an absence. The club should offer more details on Chaparro later Friday.

The Marlins optioned de Geus to Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday.

De Geus landed back in Miami via waivers in late February but will not break camp with the big club after getting roughed up for six runs in 2.2 frames this spring. He could go back-and-forth between Jacksonville and Miami often this season as the club filters through relief options.

Bellozo camp into camp with a shot to win a rotation spot, but he didn't make a great case for himself in yielding 10 runs in 8.1 innings of work. The 25-year-old remains likely to make some starts for the Marlins this season but will begin the year in the Jacksonville rotation.

Donovan is expected to assume a super utility role this season for the Cardinals, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Had the club been able to trade Nolan Arenado, it was prepared to play Nolan Gorman at third base and give Donovan the lion's share of reps at second base. The keystone might still be where Donovan plays most, but Gorman will also receive starts there, with Donovan seeing plenty of action in left field, as well, particularly on days Lars Nootbaar plays center field. Donovan is also capable of handling third base, first base and shortstop.

Cabrera's next scheduled Grapefruit League start could be skipped as he deals with a blister, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Cabrera had to be lifted from Thursday's start against the Astros after just 12 pitches with a blister on his right middle finger. The Marlins will determine a course of action with Cabrera later Friday, but there's a distinct possibility he won't be ready for the start of the season. The righty has been pummeled for 13 runs on 11 hits and four walks over 4.2 innings this spring.

White appears to be on his way to winning a utility role with Atlanta over Luke Williams, Justin Toscano of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Both players can play the infield and the outfield, but White has raked this spring, batting .455 (10-for-22) in 11 Grapefruit League appearances with a 1:2 BB:K while Williams has gone just 2-for-26 (.077). White would be unlikely to see much playing time in a bench role, as manager Brian Snitker tends to give his starters all the work they can handle, but the 30-year-old could get some early opportunities. With Ronald Acuna (knee) set to begin the season on the IL, Jurickson Profar (wrist) not 100 percent, and Jarred Kelenic and Bryan De La Cruz set to form a shaky platoon in right field, White might be needed in the outfield corners more than expected. His career .568 OPS in the majors is ugly, but White did slash .294/.388/.447 with eight homers and 24 steals in 26 attempts over 78 games for Triple-A Gwinnet last year.

Allen's defense at shortstop makes him the likeliest choice for a bench spot on Atlanta's initial 26-man roster, Justin Toscano of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The team's starters rarely get a day or even an at-bat off, so Allen's lack of offense isn't a big impediment to him winning the job if manager Brian Snitker is purely looking for the best defensive option. Allen has shown stolen-base ability in the minors and posted some PCL-inflated slash line promise at Triple-A Las Vegas in the A's system, but his .209/.254/.283 career line over 760 big-league plate appearances offers an accurate portrait of his fantasy upside should the 26-year-old find his way into consistent playing time.
