Moniak went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 9-7 extra-innings loss to the Rays.
Moniak signed a two-year contract extension earlier Tuesday, and then showed another example of why he's been worth the investment. The outfielder is on a surge since the All-Star break, going 15-for-54 (.278) with four homers and 14 RBI over his last 14 games. For the season, he's batting .278 with an .892 OPS, 19 homers, 52 RBI, 40 runs scored, 13 doubles, four triples and a stolen base over 76 contests. Moniak remains in a strong-side platoon role, but he's got some stability in a favorable hitting environment, which makes him an acceptable depth option in fantasy.

Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Inks two-year extension
Moniak and the Rockies agreed to a two-year contract extension Tuesday.
According to Thomas Harding of MLB.com, the deal is worth $16.25 million and covers his final year of arbitration eligibility in 2027 and his first year of free-agent eligibility in 2028. Moniak signed with the Rockies just before Opening Day in 2025 after being cut loose by the Angels, and he's excelled at the plate for the Rockies with a .272/.310/.536 slash line and 42 homers in 210 games.

Moniak went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a triple, an additional RBI and an additional run scored in Monday's 13-9 loss to the Rays.
Moniak unloaded on an elevated fastball from Michael Grove, sending it 447 feet into the second deck in right field for a solo homer in the eighth inning. The 28-year-old has been a constant threat at the plate in 2026, slashing .277/.318/.565 with 18 homers, 49 RBI, 39 runs and a stolen base across 75 games. With the Rockies opting to hold onto Moniak beyond Monday's trade deadline, the two sides have reportedly agreed to a two-year extension that is expected to be finalized Tuesday, per Thomas Harding of MLB.com.

Moniak is closing in on a two-year contract extension with the Rockies, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Moniak has completely turned his career around since signing with the Rockies before the 2025 season. Since joining Colorado last season, Moniak has slashed .273/.312/.534 with 41 home runs and 115 RBI in 739 plate appearances. The deal is likely to be finalized Tuesday.

Moniak went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an RBI double in Tuesday's 8-7 loss to the Padres.
Moniak has been swinging the bat fairly well since the All-Star break, going 9-for-31 (.290) with two homers and eight RBI over his last eight games. While he's still filling a platoon role, Moniak has had little trouble finding success against right-handed pitchers. He's batting .279 with an .890 OPS overall this season, and those marks rise to .292 and .951 against righties. Moniak has added 17 homers, 12 doubles, three triples, 46 RBI, 36 runs scored and one stolen base over 260 plate appearances.

Moniak went 2-for-4 with a home run, an additional run and two total RBI in an 8-7 victory versus the Nationals on Tuesday.
Moniak produced Colorado's first run with an RBI single in the second inning and added a solo homer in the sixth. The 28-year-old had gone without a homer in 12 straight games coming into Tuesday and had posted just three RBI during that stretch. Still, Moniak's .894 OPS is on track for a career-best mark, and with 16 homers and 42 RBI through 66 games, he also has a good chance of setting career highs in both of those categories.

Moniak went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored Saturday against the Reds.
Moniak delivered separate RBI singles in the second and third innings to account for his production. He has been particularly reliant on Coors Field since coming off the injured list June 22, with nine of his 12 RBI, eight of his 10 runs scored and all three of his home runs coming in Colorado. Even with that caveat, Moniak is having a very strong year, delivering 15 home runs with 40 RBI while maintaining a .276 average across 235 plate appearances.

Moniak was the only Rockie to reach base multiple times, and he tallied his fifth multi-hit effort across his last eight starts. He's also hitting .406 with six RBI, seven runs scored and two home runs across 10 appearances since the start of July, helping him build upon his breakout 2025 season. Moniak is pacing for a career-high home run total despite missing a month with an ankle injury, and he's also maintained a .283 batting average across 223 plate appearances.

Overall, Moniak is slashing .280/.330/.621 with 15 homers, 37 RBI, 28 runs scored and one steal across 197 plate appearances this season.

Moniak went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a triple, a double, three total RBI and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Marlins.
Moniak had a chance at the cycle, but he flew out in the seventh inning and didn't get another at-bat. This was his first multi-hit effort since May 13, when he also came up a single shy of the cycle versus the Pirates. He's batting .271 with a .922 OPS, 14 homers, three triples, 10 doubles, 35 RBI, 25 runs scored and a stolen base over 52 contests this season. Moniak has gone just 6-for-27 over nine games since returning from ankle tendinitis, but he has homered in each of the last two contests.

The Rockies activated Moniak (ankle) from the 10-day injured list Monday.
Moniak has been sidelined since late May with right ankle tendinitis but received the green light to rejoin the active roster after going 1-for-13 with a double in three rehab contests. He was putting together an All-Star-worthy season before getting hurt, posting a .942 OPS with 12 home runs. The left-handed-hitting Moniak is not in the Rockies' lineup Monday versus Red Sox southpaw Jake Bennett. Sterlin Thompson has been sent back to Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding roster move.
