Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Clubs sixth homer in win
Moniak went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run, an additional RBI and an additional run scored in Sunday's win over the Dodgers.
Moniak was a key contributor in Sunday's win, launching a 428-foot homer off Blake Treinen to give the Rockies the lead in the seventh inning. The outfielder is off to a strong start in 2026, slashing .273/.305/.655 with six homers, three doubles, 12 RBI and 10 runs through 16 games. The 27-year-old remains a non-factor against left-handed pitching but has steadily produced against right-handers since joining Colorado in 2025.

Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Strikes out seven in win Friday
Glasnow (2-0) earned the win Friday against the Rockies, allowing one run on two hits and two walks with seven strikeouts across seven innings.
Glasnow surrendered a leadoff double to Mickey Moniak in the bottom of the fourth inning, and Moniak came around to score on a groundout for the Rockies' only run of the night. It was a big rebound outing for Glasnow after he served up a couple homers and four runs to the Rangers his last time out. Glasnow has gone at least six innings in all four starts and has three quality starts under his belt. The right-hander now owns a 3.24 ERA and 29:6 K:BB across 25 innings. The Dodgers are using a six-man rotation, so Glasnow's next start is lined up for Thursday against the Giants in San Francisco.

Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Out against left-hander
Moniak is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Houston.
The Rockies are facing a lefty for just the second time this season, and the left-handed-hitting Moniak has been out of the lineup for both of those contests. Fellow lefty bat Jake McCarthy will handle left field, and the right-handed-hitting Jordan Beck will patrol right field in the series opener.

Moniak went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four total RBI in a loss to the Padres on Saturday.
Moniak opened the scoring with a two-run blast in the first inning and added a solo shot in the third. He later singled in the eighth frame for his fourth RBI of the game. Moniak is thriving in the early portion of the campaign, slashing .300/.313/.800 with five home runs, nine RBI and six runs through nine contests. He's started each of Colorado's past seven games and seems to have an earned an everyday spot in the lineup.

Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Goes yard again
Moniak went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Tuesday against the Astros.
Moniak remains a key contributor in the Rockies' lineup against right-handed pitching, slotting either second or third in the order. His two-run home run in the seventh inning came off of Kai-Wei Teng, his third of the season across only four starts. Moniak also has at least one hit in all four of his starts.

Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Goes deep twice in win Sunday
Moniak went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Phillies.
Both home runs came off Taijuan Walker, who allowed three round-trippers in the loss. Moniak was activated from the 10-day injured list Friday after missing Colorado's first six games of the season. He's now got his first two homers of the 2026 campaign and went 3-for-9 with three runs scored in the three-game set against the Phillies. Moniak is unlikely to play against many left-handed starters, but he had an .857 OPS against right-handed pitching last season.

Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Activated from 10-day IL
The Rockies activated Moniak (finger) from the 10-day injured list Friday.
Moniak missed the Rockies' season-opening road trip while recuperating from a right ring finger sprain, but he's back just in time for their first homestand. The 27-year-old will be a staple in the Rockies' lineup this season against right-handed pitching, likely splitting his time between the outfield and designated hitter.

Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Lands on IL with sprained finger
The Rockies placed Moniak (finger) on the 10-day injured list Friday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Moniak injured his right ring finger Monday during an exhibition game while diving back into first base, and subsequent testing revealed a sprain. He will be eligible for activation April 3 -- which is the date of the Rockies' home opener -- but it's unclear whether he has a chance to return by then. Braxton Fulford will fill Moniak's spot on the roster.

Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Exits early Monday
Moniak was removed from Monday's exhibition after injuring his right ring finger while diving back into first base, Kevin Henry of The Denver Gazette reports.
Skipper Warren Schaeffer stated after the game that Moniak was removed simply as a precaution, and he expects the 27-year-old to be fine, per Henry. However, it'll be worth keeping a close eye on Moniak's status with Opening Day looming.

Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Returns after bout with illness
Moniak (illness) is starting at designated hitter and batting third in Friday's Cactus League game versus the Rangers.
Moniak was unavailable for a few days because he was under the weather, but he's feeling well enough to give it a go Friday. The 27-year-old has had an excellent spring for the Rockies, going 5-for-15 with two home runs, one stolen base and a 4:3 BB:K. Moniak is slated for regular work at least against right-handed pitching this season.

Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Scratched from lineup with illness
Moniak was scratched from Tuesday's Cactus League lineup versus the Reds due to illness.

Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Making Cactus League debut
Moniak (oblique) is starting at designated hitter and batting leadoff in Wednesday's Cactus League contest versus the Cubs.
Moniak has been brought along slowly in Rockies camp due to right oblique tightness, but he's been cleared for his spring training debut. The 27-year-old socked 24 home runs while slashing .270/.306/.518 in 2025 in his first season in Colorado and is in line for regular reps against right-handed pitching in 2026.

Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Working way back from tight oblique
Moniak (oblique) will take batting practice Monday and could make his Cactus League debut this week, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Moniak has been slowed early on in Rockies camp by right oblique tightness, but he appears to be on the mend. Oblique issues can be finnicky, but as long as he avoids setbacks, he will have plenty of time to ramp up for Opening Day. The left-handed-hitting Moniak is slated for regular playing time against righties in 2026 after swatting 24 home runs for the Rockies last season.
