Fairchild is starting in right field and batting seventh against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Fairchild will make his 2025 debut with Atlanta on Wednesday after being acquired from the Reds on Monday. With Ronald Acuna (knee) on the IL and Jurickson Profar suspended 80 games for violating MLB's policy on performance-enhancing substances, Fairchild could see semi-regular starts in the outfield corners. The 29-year-old appeared in 94 games for Cincinnati in 2024 and slashed .215/.286/.368 with 13 stolen bases, eight home runs and 30 RBI across 233 plate appearances.

Kelenic is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.

Kelenic will get a chance to catch his breath Wednesday after going 3-for-19 with a home run and seven strikeouts through Atlanta's first six contests. His absence will move Bryan De La Cruz to left field, which opens up right field for Stuart Fairchild against Los Angeles southpaw Blake Snell.

Arcia isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.

Arcia will get a second consecutive day off after beginning the season 2-for-13 with five strikeouts. Nick Allen will fill in at shortstop and bat sixth.

Baldwin is not in Atlanta's starting lineup against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

The lefty-hitting Baldwin started in Atlanta's last two games, but he'll rest Wednesday as the Dodgers send southpaw Blake Snell to the mound. Chadwick Tromp will serve behind home plate and bat eighth.

The Diamondbacks signed Marte to a six-year, $116.5 million contract extension Wednesday that includes a player option for the 2032 season, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Marte was already under contract through 2027 with a club option for 2028, but this new deal adds additional years and $64 million in new money, $46 million of which is deferred. The 31-year-old second baseman slashed .292/.372/.560 with 36 home runs and 95 RBI for the Diamondbacks last season, finishing third in National League MVP voting.

Chourio went 3-for-5 with a double, a solo homer and an additional RBI in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Royals in 11 innings.

The 21-year-old opened the scoring during the first inning with a 389-foot blast to left field, and he followed up with a fifth-inning single and an RBI double in the 10th to extend the game. Chourio had a rough start to the campaign, as he earned the platinum sombrero by going 0-for-5 with five strikeouts Opening Day, but he's collected a hit in each of the past five games and is batting .348 with four extra-base hits and four RBI during that stretch.

Peralta struck out eight but didn't factor in the decision Wednesday versus the Royals after giving up one run on two hits and no walks over eight innings.

The right-hander surrendered a run on two hits during the second inning but otherwise didn't allow a baserunner while retiring the final 19 batters he faced. Peralta's eight frames tied a career high, which he first achieved in April 2019 during his second MLB season. He induced 19 swinging strikes while putting 66 of his 97 pitches in the zone. Peralta has a 2.08 ERA with a 16:1 K:BB in 13 frames through his first two starts of the year, and he lines up to pitch again early next week versus the Rockies at Coors Field.

Toglia will start at first base and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

The first baseman began the season as the Rockies' No. 5 hitter, but he's been bumped down a spot for the last two contests while Colorado has moved the hot-hitting Hunter Goodman up in the lineup. Toglia has gotten off to a slow start to the season, going 1-for-15 with eight strikeouts through the Rockies' first four games.

Greene (0-1) took the loss Wednesday against the Rangers after giving up one run on three hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out eight.

The right-hander pounded the zone as he threw 74 of 94 pitches for strikes and generated 22 whiffs, but an RBI double by Josh Smith during the fourth inning was enough to saddle Greene with the loss since the Reds were blanked for a second straight game. The 25-year-old is off to a strong start in 2025 through two outings with just three runs allowed and a 16:2 K:BB across 12 innings, though he's still searching for his first victory.

Smith is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Left-hander Carlos Rodon is taking the hill for the Yankees, so the left-handed--hitting Smith will begin the contest on the bench. Randal Grichuk will start at designated hitter and bat cleanup for the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
