Doval (1-0) allowed a run on two hits and two walks in one inning Sunday while picking up a win against Seattle. He did not record a strikeout and was charged with a blown save.

Doval was tagged with a blown save in back-to-back games, but this time he earned a win after the Giants walked it off in the bottom of the ninth inning. He coughed up an RBI double to Randy Arozarena in the top of the frame to tie the contest. Ryan Walker was seemingly unavailable Sunday after pitching Friday and Saturday. Doval owns a 1.80 ERA through five innings, but he has struck out only two batters.

Yastrzemski went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer and a walk in Sunday's win over Seattle.

Yastrzemski drilled a three-run shot during the Giants' four-run fourth inning. It was his first extra-base hit of the season. Yastrzemski drew a walk in the ninth inning and now owns a 7:9 BB:K through 31 plate appearances. Despite his limited power early on, he's slashing .333/.484/.458.

Carroll went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple and a run scored in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Nationals.

Carroll tripled to lead off the game and eventually scored then added a single and double. Seven of his 11 hits have gone for extra bases, and Carroll sports a .641 slugging percentage through 10 games.

Smith started at designated hitter and went 2-for-3 with an RBI in Sunday's 5-4 loss to Washington.

Smith knocked in a run with a single in the fifth inning, his second RBI in nine games. This was his third start in the last four games, as the Diamondbacks have faced more right-handers recently. That wasn't the case to start the season, when opponents started more lefties than righties. Smith is in a strict platoon and has just one plate appearance against a southpaw.

The Rockies are expected to option Beck to Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.

Beck's demotion comes after he had produced a .411 OPS over 23 plate appearances and had been held out of the starting lineup in three of the last five games. With Beck headed to Albuquerque, the Rockies plan to call up prospect Zac Veen from Triple-A to replace him in the outfield. Veen will vie with Mickey Moniak and Nick Martini for playing time at the corner-outfield spots.

Crews went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Crews posted his best stat line of the season, recording his first multi-hit effort and swiping his second bag of the year. The 23-year-old's average now sits at just .103 with an ugly 1:13 BB:K across 30 plate appearances, but there's still plenty of time for him to turn things around.

The Rockies are expected to promote Veen from Triple-A Albuquerque ahead of Tuesday's game against the Brewers, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.

Veen will receive his first MLB call-up after batting .387 with one home run, eight RBI, seven runs scored and one stolen base over 32 plate appearances through his first eight games at Triple-A this season. One of the organization's top prospects, the 23-year-old is capable of playing all three outfield spots, though he'll likely see most of his action in left or right field initially while two-time Gold Glove Award winner Brenton Doyle is locked in as the club's everyday center fielder. With the Rockies set to demote Jordan Beck to Triple-A in a corresponding move, Veen should push Nick Martini or Mickey Moniak for a regular role at one of the corner spots.

Williams (1-0) earned the win against the Diamondbacks on Sunday, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts over five innings.

Williams wasn't particularly efficient, throwing 57 strikes on 97 pitches with 10 whiffs, but he battled to extend his run of starts allowing three runs or fewer to 17. According to the Nationals, that ties him with Max Scherzer for the longest such streak in team history. On the season, the 32-year-old owns a 5.40 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 9:2 K:BB across 10 innings. He's scheduled to make his next start on the road against the Marlins next weekend.

Herrera (knee) is expected to be placed on the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's game against the Pirates, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

After exiting the first game of Sunday's doubleheader versus the Red Sox due to left knee inflammation, Herrera was sent in for further testing. According to manager Oliver Marmol, those tests returned clean, but Herrera will still need time to heal from the knee injury and will go on the IL. Pedro Pages drew the start behind the plate in the nightcap of Sunday's twin bill and will likely get the lion's share of starts at catcher in Herrera's absence. Herrera had gotten off to a hot start to the season, slashing a blistering .381/.458/1.048 with four home runs, 11 RBI and six runs through 24 plate appearances.

Burnes (0-1) took the loss against the Nationals on Sunday, allowing four runs on seven hits and four walks with three strikeouts over five innings. He also hit two batters.

Burnes was given a 1-0 lead in the first inning but yielded four runs over his first three frames. He lacked command, issuing four free passes while inducing only eight swinging strikes on 89 pitches. The 30-year-old is off to a slow start, posting a 5.79 ERA, 1.93 WHIP and 11:7 K:BB through 9.1 innings. He's slated for a home matchup with the Brewers next weekend.
