Taylor will start in left field and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Nationals, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Taylor will pick up his second start of the season, filling in left field for the left-handed-hitting Michael Conforto, who will head to the bench while the Nationals send southpaw MacKenzie Gore to the hill. Though he has the ability to play multiple spots in the infield and outfield, Taylor doesn't look as though he'll be assured a regular short-side platoon role; he didn't start in the Dodgers' previous two matchups with left-handers.

Baty is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins.

Baty looked to be holding down the strong side of a platoon at second base with Luisangel Acuna while Jeff McNeil (oblique) is on the shelf, but Baty has now hit the bench in three of the Mets' last six matchups with right-handed pitchers. Manager Carlos Mendoza may just be looking to keep both young hitters involved while the Mets are in the midst of a long stretch of facing right-handers, but Baty hasn't helped his case for seeing the majority of the playing time at the keystone either. He enters Monday's contest having gone just 2-for-21 (.095 average) with no walks and eight strikeouts through the Mets' first nine games of the season.

Siri is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins.

Siri had started in six of the past seven games, but he'll give way to Tyrone Taylor in center field in the series opener. Though he's dominated the playing time in center thus far, Siri's hold on the job may be tenuous, given that he's recorded just one hit in 17 at-bats on the season.

Torrens (forearm) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins.

He'll be on the bench for the third game in a row while he gets more time to recover from a right forearm contusion. Hayden Senger will get another turn behind the dish, but the Mets' willingness to use Torrens off the bench in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jays suggests that he'll be ready to return to the starting lineup soon.

Scott is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Pirates.

Scott will head to the bench for the first time all season after he started each of the first nine games in center field while slashing .281/.368/.406 with a home run and four stolen bases across 38 plate appearances. Mike Siani will get a look in center field Monday, but Scott remains the Cardinals' clear top option at the position.

Pages is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Pirates.

Though he's the Cardinals' new No. 1 catcher after Ivan Herrera (knee) was placed on the injured list earlier Monday, Pages will get a breather for the series opener in Pittsburgh after he caught 17 innings during Sunday's doubleheader with the Red Sox. The newly promoted Yohel Pozo will draw the start behind the dish Monday in his Cardinals debut.

Call will start in right field and bat second in Monday's game versus the Dodgers.

It marks the fifth start over the last five games for Call and his highest placement in the batting order this season. He's earned the playing time by sporting a robust 1.279 OPS in the early going for the Nationals. With Call's emergence as a regular for Washington, Dylan Crews has become the team's primary center fielder and Jacob Young has been a reserve.

Young is out of the lineup for Monday's tilt versus the Dodgers.

Though manager Dave Martinez said that he expected Young to return to the starting nine Monday after the 25-year-old received the last two games off to address his hitting mechanics, the Nationals will keep Young on the bench for the series opener versus Los Angeles. Young will now sit for the fourth time in five games, and he could be moving into a fourth-outfielder role after slashing .067/.263/.133 through his first 20 plate appearances of the season. The Nationals will again go with Dylan Crews in center field and the hot-hitting Alex Call in right field.

Abrams is not in the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Dodgers.

It's the first day off this season for Abrams, who is slashing .257/.289/.571 with three home runs and two stolen bases in his first nine games. Paul DeJong will slide over to start at shortstop, while Jose Tena will get the call at third base in Monday's series opener.

The Pirates are expected to promote Cheng from Triple-A Indianapolis ahead of Monday's game against the Cardinals, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

He'll be joining the 26-man active roster as a replacement for infielder Jared Triolo (back), who is headed for the 10-day injured list. Cheng, 23, produced a .225/.329/.347 slash line to go with 11 home runs and 17 stolen bases in 132 games between Triple-A and Double-A Altoona in 2024. He's gotten off to a poor start to 2025 at Indianapolis by going 1-for-14 with eight strikeouts, so the Pirates aren't likely to hand him meaningful playing time right off the bat. His main value to the Pirates will come from his ability to play three infield spots (second base, third base and shortstop).
