Matsui allowed one run on two hits with a strikeout in an inning Tuesday against Athletics. He has a 1.80 ERA with nine strikeouts and two walks in five innings.

Matsui is working in middle relief but could be used in higher-leverage roles if he can continue his high strikeout totals and limit his walks. After striking out 12 batters per nine innings during his 10-year career in Japan, Matsui's K rate dipped after moving to the States. His 26.8 percent strikeout rate during the regular season last year was still above league average, but Matsui's 10.5 percent walk rate likely prevented possible ascension to higher-leverage work.

Doyle went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 7-1 loss to Milwaukee.

Doyle took Brewers right-hander Freddy Peralta yard for a solo blast in the first inning to score the Rockies' only run Tuesday, and he also stole his first base of 2025 in the fifth frame. Over 44 at-bats (10 games) to open the season, Doyle is batting a productive .273 with two homers, two doubles, six RBI and five runs scored.

Wheeler didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's loss to Atlanta. He gave up five runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out seven across 5.1 innings.

Wheeler fell behind when he gave up a three-run homer to Sean Murphy in the second inning. Wheeler was able to settle in and fanned five batters over the next three scoreless frames before being tagged for two more runs in the sixth inning. He allowed five hits over his first two starts, but he gave up eight hits Tuesday and was unable to escape the sixth inning despite tossing 104 pitches (71 strikes). Wheeler has started the season with a 3.44 ERA and 0.98 WHIP and leads the National League with 25 strikeouts. He's slated to face the Cardinals on the road in the series finale Sunday, when he'll look to register his second win of 2025.

Wood went 3-for-4 with two home runs, five RBI and a walk in Tuesday's win over the Dodgers.

Wood got started early with a two-run shot in the first inning. He drew a bases-loaded walk in the second before bashing another two-run shot in the fourth. He's up to four home runs this season, including three over his last two games. Wood is slashing .275/.356/.625 with six extra-base hits and 10 RBI through 11 games.

Castellanos went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to Atlanta.

Castellanos got the Phillies on the board with an RBI single in the first inning, and he drove in his second run of the game in the third frame on a double to center field. The 33-year-old outfielder has started the 2025 season slashing .314/.385/.571 with four walks, three doubles, two home runs and seven RBI across 39 plate appearances.

Lord allowed two hits and two walks over three scoreless innings in a no-decision Tuesday. He struck out four during the win over the Dodgers.

Lord was given the nod in a spot start and turned in a solid appearance. He needed 55 pitches (33 strikes) to get through three frames, but he avoided danger and kept the Dodgers off the board. Lord now owns a 1.80 ERA with a 4:4 K:BB through five innings this season. He's currently lined up to start in Pittsburgh next week.

Schwarber went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and drove in two additional runs in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to Atlanta.

Schwarber was able to log a rare triple Tuesday -- his first since 2023 and 13th of his major-league career -- which drove in two runs in the third, and on his next at-bat he took Chris Sale deep for a 462-foot moonshot to center field. Schwarber has started the season slashing .324/.444/.811 with six walks, five home runs and 11 RBI across 45 plate appearances.

Wrobleski (0-1) yielded eight runs on eight hits and three walks over five innings Tuesday, striking out four and taking a loss against Washington.

Wrobelski struggled out of the gate, coughing up a two-run homer to James Wood in the first inning. The Nationals plated three runs in the second and three more in the fourth, capped off by another Wood home run. Wrobelski posted a 5.70 ERA over 36.1 MLB innings in 2024. It's unclear if he'll stick with the big club or head back to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Tatis was removed from Tuesday's game against the Athletics due to an apparent injury, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

The Padres haven't provided any details regarding what kind of injury Tatis is dealing with, but more information will come once they get a chance to evaluate him. The 26-year-old had gone 0-for-2 with a walk prior to his removal in the fifth inning.

Murphy went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and an additional RBI in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Phillies.

Murphy started the season on the 10-day injured list due to a fractured rib, but he was activated from the IL on Sunday and made his 2025 debut Tuesday. He didn't show any rust in his first at-bat, cranking a three-run homer off Zack Wheeler to left field in the second inning, and Murphy drove in a fourth run on an RBI single in the sixth frame to reduce Atlanta's deficit to one. Murphy is looking to improve on his 2024 campaign, which he finished with a slash line of .193/.284/.352 with 10 home runs and 25 RBI across 264 plate appearances.
