Hernandez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's loss to Washington.

Hernandez concluded the scoring in the contest with a solo shot to left field in the eighth inning. The utility man has taken on a prominent role in the Dodgers' lineup of late, as he's been starting at first base while Freddie Freeman has been on the injured list due to an ankle injury. Hernandez is batting a meager .111 on the season, but all four of his hits have left the park, and that has allowed him to rack up a healthy seven RBI over 39 plate appearances.

Chourio went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple, a stolen base and two RBI in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Rockies.

Chourio first hit a Kyle Freeland fastball outside the strike zone and into the gap in left-center field for a two-run double in the third inning, and then stole third base and scored on a William Contreras single later in the frame. The speedy 21-year-old left fielder got to Freeland once more in the fifth, legging out a triple off the southpaw for his first three-bagger of the year. After striking out five times on Opening Day, Chourio has been on fire, hitting .341 with three home runs, five doubles, 11 RBI and seven runs scored through his last 10 games.

Crow-Armstrong went 3-for-5 with two RBI, two stolen bases and one run scored in Tuesday's 10-6 win over the Rangers.

It was a busy night for Crow-Armstrong, who singled, stole second base and came around to score a go-ahead run in the third inning. After singling and swiping another bag in the fourth frame, the speedy center fielder tacked on some insurance runs via a two-run single in the eighth. Perhaps Tuesday's performance gets the former top prospect on track, as he's batting just .222 with zero homers and five RBI across 54 at-bats, though he does have three doubles, 10 runs scored and six pilfers through 14 games.

Birdsong threw three scoreless innings during Tuesday's 1-0 loss to the Reds, allowing a hit and a walk while striking out two.

Birdsong threw 25 of his 39 pitches for strikes during his third appearance of the season. The 23-year-old gave up a double to begin the ninth frame, but he kept his composure and retired Cincinnati's next three hitters. Manager Bob Melvin said postgame, "The velocity's been there out of the bullpen as well, all his pitches working -- he just looks like he's really confident," according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. Birdsong has recorded a 0.00 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and a 6:3 K:BB over seven innings so far this season.

Padres manager Mike Shildt said that Cronenworth exited in the third inning of Tuesday's 10-4 loss to the Athletics due to cramping in his ribs, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Cronenworth initially appeared to be tending to a leg injury at the time he left the game, but Shildt clarified the nature of the second baseman's injury after the contest. The injury is related to a hit-by-pitch Cronenworth took to his ribs Sunday, and Shildt said that the team is "not overly concerned" about the issue, per Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune. However, Cassavell suggests that Cronenworth could be held out of San Diego's series finale versus the Athletics on Wednesday ahead of the team's off day Thursday.

Schmitt went 2-for-3 with a double during Tuesday's 1-0 loss to the Reds and could be in the mix for more playing time moving forward, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The 26-year-old drew the start at first base before being moved to second in the eighth inning, following LaMonte Wade's entry into the game. Schmitt accounted for two of San Francisco's four hits in the low-scoring affair, including his first double of the season, which he lined into left field during the second frame. The utility infielder has the defensive ability to compete for more playing time, and he is now slashing .222/.300/.333 with a double across 10 plate appearances.

Swanson went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, a stolen base and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 10-6 win over Texas.

Swanson first cracked a solo homer off Rangers left-hander Patrick Corbin to get the Cubs on the board in the second inning. The veteran shortstop then put Chicago in front 4-3 with a sacrifice fly in the fourth frame, and he gave the club an 8-6 lead with a two-run single in the eighth. Although Swanson is batting just .226 over 53 at-bats, he's already up to four big flies, 11 RBI, nine runs scored and two steals in 14 outings.

Veen went 1-for-4 on Tuesday against the Brewers.

Veen made his big-league debut while hitting seventh and playing right field. He fouled out and struck out in his first two at-bats, but he reached base on a bunt single in the seventh frame. Veen will likely have a volatile profile due to an inconsistent ability to make contact, but his power-speed skills should play well in fantasy leagues.

Moniak went 1-for-3 with a double in Tuesday's game against the Brewers.

Moniak started his fifth straight game with a right-handed pitcher on the mound. He hasn't performed particularly well in that span, collecting only three hits in 14 at-bats while striking out four times. Nevertheless, he's moved ahead of Nick Martini on the depth chart for the time being.

Hodge (1-0) blew the save but picked up the win Tuesday against Texas, giving up one run on two hits and no walks while striking out three in 1.1 innings.

Working with a 6-5 lead, Hodge fanned Wyatt Langford in the seventh inning but blew the save after a Josh Jung triple scored a game-tying run in the eighth frame. The Cubs then scored four runs in the bottom of the inning to get Hodge off the hook, and Ryan Pressly worked around two singles to put the game away in the ninth frame. Although Pressly has converted each of his three save chances to open the year, he's allowed six walks and 11 hits over seven innings. However, Hodge has also been shaky, having failed to convert both of his save opportunities and logging a 1.43 WHIP across his seven frames of work.
