Tawa went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Marlins.

Tawa slugged his first MLB home run in the seventh inning, when he took Tyler Phillips deep to left-center field for a 414-foot blast. The rookie has appeared in six games (five starts) this season and has gone 4-for-18 with one walk, four runs scored, one home run and five RBI. He looks set to see most of the starts at second base while Ketel Marte (hamstring) is on the injured list.

Smith went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-2 win over Miami.

Smith extended Arizona's lead to two runs in the sixth inning, when he took Max Meyer deep to center field for a 429-foot solo home run. It was Smith's second homer of the year, and he's begun the season slashing .386/.460/.659 with nine runs and five RBI in 50 plate appearances while filling the strong side of a platoon at designated hitter.

Naylor went 1-for-3 with one walk, a solo homer and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Marlins.

Naylor got the Diamondbacks on the board in the second inning, when he took Max Meyer deep to center field for a 398-foot solo homer. Naylor has logged solo home runs in back-to-back games and has three long shots and six RBI over his last six outings.

Pfaadt (3-1) earned the win against the Marlins on Wednesday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks while striking out six across 5.2 innings.

Pfaadt's only blemish of Wednesday's game came in the fourth inning, when he gave up a 396-foot solo home run to Matt Mervis. Pfaadt was one out shy from logging a second consecutive quality start and has begun the year with a 3.04 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 18:5 K:BB across 23.2 innings. He'll look to earn a fourth straight win his next time out, which is tentatively slated for next week at home against Tampa Bay.

Lee went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Phillies.

Lee opened the scoring Wednesday with an RBI single in the first inning, and he lofted a sacrifice fly to drive in another run in the fifth. Although 2024 was an injury-ruined first season in the major leagues for Lee, he's slashing an outstanding .338/.395/.647 with three home runs, an MLB-leading 10 doubles, 14 RBI, 19 runs scored and three stolen bases through 68 at-bats (17 games) this year.

Yastrzemski went 2-for-4 with two walks and a two-run double in Wednesday's 11-4 win over the Phillies.

Yastrzemski added to the Giants' blowout in the seventh inning with a two-run double to center field that brought home Tyler Fitzgerald and Wilmer Flores. Over his last 10 games, Yastrzemski has gone 10-for-31 with nine walks, seven runs scored, three home runs and 11 RBI.

Martinez (0-3) took the loss against the Mariners on Wednesday. He allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits and three walks while striking out four across 4.2 innings.

Martinez wasn't credited with the first run he gave up in the opening frame, but he proceeded to yield three runs over the next four innings, including a solo home run to Cal Raleigh in the fifth. Martinez has given up at least three earned runs in each of his first four starts of the season and has a 6.00 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 19:7 K:BB in 21 innings. The veteran right-hander is slated to make his next start on the road against the Marlins next week, when he'll look to earn his first win of the 2025 campaign.

Encarnacion-Strand went 1-for-4 with a two-run double in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Mariners.

Encarnacion-Strand had gone 0-for-12 over his previous three games, but he managed to get the Reds on the board in the seventh inning Wednesday with a two-RBI double. He is working his way back from hamstring and back soreness, which caused him to miss two games earlier in the week. Encarnacion-Strand has begun the season slashing .158/.183/.298 with four runs scored, two home runs and five RBI across 60 plate appearances this season.

The Marlins plan to option Pauley to Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday, Isaac Azout of FishOnFirst.com reports.

He has received regular reps at third base in the absence of Connor Norby (oblique) but has slashed just .205/.234/.295 across 13 games. Pauley's poor start will result in him heading back to the minors, and his demotion could prove to be the corresponding move for Norby's return from the IL.

Ray didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Phillies after allowing four runs on six hits and five walks in four innings. He struck out eight.

The veteran left-hander exhibited poor control in the first inning, lending four free passes and throwing two wild pitches en route to giving up two runs. Ray then gave up a two-run home run to Bryce Harper in the fourth frame, and the southpaw's outing came to a close after recording just 12 outs on 93 pitches. Ray's 4.19 ERA isn't bad, but a shaky 1.55 WHIP and 21:15 K:BB over 19.1 innings (four starts) could indicate further trouble.
