The Pirates recalled Bednar from Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Bednar was optioned to Triple-A after a rough start in the majors, but he's found his form in Indianapolis, where he has not issued a walk while allowing one hit and striking out six batters across four scoreless innings. Even with Dennis Santana faring well as the Pirates' closer, Bednar should get another chance at the role as long as he carries his strong play from Triple-A into the majors.

The Dodgers activated Phillips (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Saturday.

Phillips was expected to return from the injured list next week, but he will rejoin the Dodgers on Saturday after Blake Treinen (forearm) was placed on the IL. Phillips has not pitched at the MLB level since Game 6 of the NLCS against the Mets in October due to a right shoulder strain, but he's appeared in six rehab games with Triple-A Oklahoma City. Across those six rehab outings, Phillips registered a 6.35 ERA, 1.92 WHIP and 9:1 K:BB across 5.2 innings.

Rosario is not in Washington's staring lineup against Colorado on Saturday.

Rosario will begin Saturday's contest in the dugout while Jose Tena starts at the hot corner and bats seventh against Rockies right-hander Chase Dollander. Rosario is slashing .270/.289/.405 with one stolen base, seven runs scored, one homer and two RBI in 38 plate appearances this season.

Conine left in the sixth inning of Saturday's game against the Phillies due to a left arm injury, Stephen Strom of Marlins Radio Network reports.

Conine drove in a two-run double in the sixth inning, but he appeared to injure his left arm while sliding into second base. He looked to be in serious pain after the slide and a trainer was holding his left arm while he walked off the field. Given the initial reaction, it wouldn't be surprising if Conine requires a trip to the injured list. The Marlins should update his status in the near future.

Call is not in the Nationals' starting lineup against the Rockies on Saturday.

Call will begin Saturday's contest in the dugout while Jacob Young starts in center field and bats eighth against Rockies right-hander Chase Dollander. Call has started the season slashing .300/.415/.400 with one stolen base, six runs scored and eight RBI in 54 plate appearances.

Steele underwent UCL revision repair operation on his left elbow Friday, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Steele was placed on the 15-day injured list April 9 with what was initially diagnosed as left elbow tendinitis, but further tests revealed significant UCL damage that required season-ending surgery. He was able to avoid Tommy John surgery, but he will sit for the rest of 2025 and will likely miss the early portion of the 2026 regular season. With Steele sidelined, Ben Brown and Colin Rea will continue to serve in the Cubs' rotation, though one of them will be bumped when Javier Assad (oblique) returns from the IL.

Kiner-Falefa is not in Pittsburgh's starting lineup against Cleveland on Saturday.

Kiner-Falefa has recorded at least one hit in five of his last six games, going 6-for-20 with one stolen base, two runs scored and one RBI over that span. He'll be in the dugout for the beginning of Saturday's game while Jared Triolo starts at shortstop and bats seventh against Guardians right-hander Ben Lively.

Bart is not in the Pirates' starting lineup against the Guardians on Saturday.

Bart has started in the Pirates' last two games after missing time due to lower-back discomfort, going 2-for-7 with two walks and one RBI over that span. He'll be in the dugout for Saturday's contest while Henry Davis starts behind home plate and bats ninth against Cleveland right-hander Ben Lively.

The Dodgers placed Treinen on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to right forearm tightness, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Treinen started feeling discomfort in his right forearm after his last outing against the Cubs on April 13. The hope was that some rest would improve the issue, but Treinen experienced more tightness in his forearm while warming up in the bullpen during Friday's contest against the Rangers, prompting his placement on the IL. Evan Phillips (shoulder) will be activated off the 15-day IL in a corresponding move, and he could see some save opportunities behind Tanner Scott for as long as Treinen is sidelined.

Kershaw (toe/knee) told reporters Saturday that his next rehab start will take place Tuesday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Kershaw made his first rehab start Wednesday with Triple-A Oklahoma City, tossing 30 pitches in three scoreless inning while allowing two hits and striking out two without issuing a walk. Kershaw may stay in Oklahoma City for his next rehab start or move to Double-A Tulsa depending on the weather report. The veteran southpaw continues to progress in his recovery from offseason surgery on his left knee and a left big toe injury.
