McCutchen will begin Saturday's game on the bench after going 1-for-10 with one stolen base and three runs scored over his last three starts. Oneil Cruz will serve as the designated hitter while Jack Suwinski gets the start in center field.

Veen is not in Colorado's starting lineup against Washington on Saturday.

The veteran southpaw noted afterward that he feels "way better" throwing now than when he attempted to pitch through the injury, and he added that he'll need at least one more bullpen and a simulated game before there's a discussion on being activated from the IL.

Steer is not in Cincinnati's starting lineup against Baltimore on Saturday.

Steer has struggled at the plate while working through a sore shoulder, going 1-for-23 with two runs scored and 10 strikeouts over his last six games. He'll begin Saturday's contest on the bench with Gavin Lux serving as the designated hitter.

Johnson suffered a knee injury during Double-A Altoona's 12-1 loss to Somerset on Friday, Jarrod Prugar of DK Pittsburgh Sports reports.

Johnson sustained the injury in the seventh inning after colliding with a teammate in the outfield. He was able to walk off the field under his own power, and Altoona manager Andy Fox told reporters after the game that Johnson would undergo further testing Saturday to determine the severity of the injury. Johnson has begun the year in Double-A slashing .227/.346/.318 with eight walks, five stolen bases, seven runs scored, one home run and five RBI in 52 plate appearances.

Taylor is not in the Mets' starting lineup against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Taylor will take a seat Saturday after starting in the Mets' last six games, going 4-for-20 with three runs scored and one RBI over that span. Jose Azocar will start in center field for the Mets and bat ninth against Cardinals southpaw Matthew Liberatore.

Winker is not in the Mets' starting lineup against the Cardinals on Saturday.

With St. Louis sending southpaw Matthew Liberatore to the mound, Winker will begin Saturday's contest on the bench while Starling Marte serves as the designated hitter and bats fifth. Winker has started the season slashing .184/.238/.368 with six RBI across 42 plate appearances.

Berti is starting at third base and batting ninth in Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Berti will be making just his sixth start of the season in Chicago's 23rd game. The 35-year-old has been used mostly as a bench player for the Cubs, and he's batting .238 with a .598 OPS and no home runs or runs scored, giving him limited fantasy appeal despite the six stolen bases.

The Rockies transferred Gomber (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list Saturday.

Gomber began the season on the 15-day IL due to left shoulder inflammation. He made one rehab start with Triple-A Albuquerque on April 1, but he was scratched from his next scheduled start after suffering a setback and has been shut down from throwing ever since. Gomber's transfer to the 60-day IL means the veteran southpaw won't be eligible to be activated to the Rockies' roster until late May, but a timeline for his return won't be known until he resumes his throwing program.
