Amaya is starting at catcher and batting eighth in Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Carson Kelly belted two home runs during a wild 13-11 win Friday, but he'll get a breather Saturday, which paves the way for Amaya to start behind the plate. Kelly is off to a blazing hot start with a 1.675 OPS through 11 games, so his role figures to grow in the near term, though Amaya will still work in frequently. He's not matching Kelly's production, but Amaya has been solid with a .283 batting average and .770 OPS through 13 games.

The Rockies placed Tovar on the 10-day injured list Saturday, retroactive to April 16, due to a left hip contusion.

Tovar was scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Dodgers due to the left hip injury. The issue is severe enough to warrant a stint on the injured list, and how he responds to treatment over the coming days will help determine his timeline for a return. Aaron Schunk's contract was selected from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move, and he'll start at shortstop and bat ninth against the Nationals on Saturday. Kyle Farmer could also see some playing time at shortstop while Tovar is sidelined.

The Diamondbacks selected Morillo's contract from Triple-A Reno on Saturday.

Morillo has allowed one run in 6.1 innings to begin the season at Triple-A, and he'll now be called upon to provide the team with relief depth while Joe Mantiply and Bryce Jarvis head to the minors to correct their early struggles. The 26-year-old Morillo will be making his MLB debut whenever he gets into a game.

The Rockies recalled Beck from Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.

Beck made the Rockies' Opening Day roster, but he was sent down to Triple-A after going 3-for-20 with three stolen bases, one RBI and eight strikeouts to start the season. He'll rejoin the parent club and will provide outfield depth while Brenton Doyle (bereavement) is away from the team. Beck is starting in left field and batting eighth against the Nationals on Saturday.

The Diamondbacks selected Feyereisen's contract from Triple-A Reno on Saturday.

Feyereisen has been great to start the season in Triple-A, surrendering just one earned run over 9.1 innings while striking out seven batters and walking two. He'll now head to Arizona to help provide bullpen depth with Joe Mantiply and Bryce Jarvis moving to the minors and A.J. Puk (elbow) moving to the IL.

The Diamondbacks recalled Jameson from Triple-A Reno on Saturday.

Jameson will be joined by J.P. Feyereisen and Juan Morillo in moving to Arizona to replace Joe Mantiply, Bryce Jarvis and the injured A.J. Puk (elbow). Jameson has been effective in seven outings with Reno, giving up two runs on 6.2 innings while punching out 10 batters and walking none.

The Rockies selected Schunk's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.

Schunk will take the spot on the 26-man roster vacated by Ezequiel Tovar (hip), who was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Schunk opted to stay with the Rockies in the minors after being DFA'd in mid-February, and in Triple-A he is slashing .283/.353/.435 with one stolen base, one home run and 10 RBI in 52 plate appearances. Schunk could see some starts in the infield with Tovar, Tyler Freeman (oblique) and Thairo Estrada (wrist) all on the IL.

Puk was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday with left elbow inflammation.

Puk secured his fourth save of the season during his most recent outing against Miami on Thursday, but he appears to have come away from his appearance with elbow troubles. The left-hander will now be sidelined for at least 15 days, though the Diamondbacks will have a better idea of how long his recovery will take once he undergoes an MRI on Monday, per Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona. Justin Martinez will likely become the primary option for saves while Puk is out.

The Diamondbacks optioned Jarvis to Triple-A Reno on Saturday.

Jarvis was lit up for three runs in just two-thirds of an inning Friday against the Cubs, elevating his ERA to 7.36 across 7.1 frames. He'll look to right the ship at Reno, and his past success in the majors suggests that he should be able to return to Arizona relatively quickly.

The Diamondbacks optioned Mantiply to Triple-A Reno on Saturday.

Mantiply has struggled mightily in the big leagues this season, giving up 13 earned runs in just 7.1 innings. He'll attempt to get back on track in Triple-A, though the D-backs may want to see him sustain success for an extended period of time before inserting him back into their bullpen.
