The Reds outrighted Wynne to Triple-A Louisville on Thursday.

Wynne is no longer on the 40-man roster but will remain in the organization as starting pitching depth. The 32-year-old made one relief appearance with the Reds this past weekend, allowing one run over three innings.

Cavalli (elbow) will make his next rehab start Thursday with Double-A Harrisburg, Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post reports.

Cavalli will get a tougher test for his second outing in the minors after he reported to Single-A Fredericksburg for the beginning of his rehab assignment and struck out three batters over four scoreless innings during his lone outing with the affiliate last Saturday. The right-hander was out for most of the previous two seasons while recovering from Tommy John surgery and also missed time last summer while going through a "dead arm" phase, so the Nationals will likely keep him on his rehab assignment for the entire 30-day window. Washington doesn't appear to have a rotation spot available for Cavalli at the big-league level, so the 26-year-old will likely be optioned to Triple-A Rochester once he's activated from the 15-day injured list.

Brzykcy (quadricep) will shift his rehab assignment Thursday from High-A Wilmington to Triple-A Rochester, Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post reports.

Brzykcy will move on to the third affiliate of his rehab assignment after striking out five batters across three scoreless innings in three appearances between stints with Single-A Fredericksburg and Wilmington. The righty reliever has been on the shelf all season while recovering from a right quad strain, but he could be ready to make his 2025 debut with the Nationals at some point next week.

Nationals manager Dave Martinez said Thursday that DeJong will undergo surgery to repair his fractured nose, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

DeJong also visited an eye specialist Thursday and was cleared of any issues there. The veteran infielder went on the 10-day injured list last week after a Mitch Keller pitch struck him in the face and broke his nose. It appears DeJong has avoided any additional injuries, but there's no timetable for his return.

Thomas received an anti-inflammatory injection April 16 in an effort to calm irritation in his left elbow, MLB.com reports.

The Brewers placed Thomas on the 15-day injured list April 8 with what the team termed as left elbow arthritis. Thomas has yet to resume throwing while he waits for the injection to take full effect, and the southpaw could be in store for a slow ramp-up process before being activated from the 15-day injured list. Milwaukee thought enough of Thomas to select him in the Rule 5 Draft this past winter, but the 26-year-old is viewed as more of a developmental project rather than an impact contributor out of the big-league bullpen. He turned in a 20.25 ERA and 2.63 WHIP in 5.1 innings for Milwaukee before landing on the IL.

White went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Wednesday in Atlanta's 4-1 win over St. Louis.

Making his sixth start of the season Wednesday, White picked a good time to come through with his first home run of the campaign. He stepped to the plate with one out and two runners on in a 1-1 game in the bottom of the eighth inning and sent a Ryan Fernandez slider 434 feet to left field to give Atlanta its fifth win in six games. White is unlikely to fall into extra playing time as a result of his heroics, as manager Brian Snitker is likely to primarily deploy the 30-year-old mainly as a replacement in the lineup for Alex Verdugo or Jarred Kelenic in the corner outfield when Atlanta faces left-handed pitching.

Young isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Orioles, Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post reports.

Young's 0-for-3 performance Wednesday put an end to his brief three-game hitting streak, and he'll now get a chance to catch his breath Thursday. Dylan Crews will shift to center field to cover for Young, opening right field for Alex Call.

Tena isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Orioles, Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post reports.

The lefty-hitting Tena will grab a seat on the bench against southpaw Cade Povich and the Orioles. Amed Rosario will pick up a start at the hot corner and bat sixth while Tena sits.

The Nationals optioned Lipscomb to Triple-A Rochester on Thursday.

With CJ Abrams returning from the injured list Thursday, Lipscomb will head back to the minors after spending roughly a week with the Nats serving as emergency infield depth. The 24-year-old went 2-for-4 with a run scored during his lone start and is slashing .295/.392/.386 through 51 plate appearances in Triple-A.

The Nationals reinstated Abrams (hip) from the 10-day injured list Thursday.

Abrams has been on the injured list since April 12 after straining right his hip flexor while attempting to steal a base. He has since played two rehab games at Double-A Harrisburg, during which he went 0-for-4 with two walks and a sacrifice fly. He'll reclaim his role as Washington's everyday shortstop now that he's healthy, and Trey Lipscomb will head back to Triple-A to free up a roster spot.
