Taylor is absent from the lineup for Monday's contest against the Nationals, Andrew Tredinnick of NorthJersey.com reports.

Taylor has now yielded to Jeff McNeil twice in four games in center field since the latter returned from the injured list. With McNeil handling center field Monday, Luisangel Acuna is covering second base for the Mets.

Nunez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets.

Nunez made nine straight starts from April 14 through this past Wednesday, but he's since shifted to the bench following top shortstop CJ Abrams' return from the injured list Thursday. So long as Abrams remains healthy, Nunez is expected to see infrequent opportunities as a utility infielder.

Bell is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets.

Bell will exit the starting nine for just the third time in 29 games on the season after a rough showing in the Nationals' three-game series with the Mets over the weekend, when he went 1-for-12 with five strikeouts. With Bell on the bench, James Wood will get a day out of the outfield and will serve as Washington's designated hitter.

Atlanta optioned Kelenic to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

Even with Atlanta missing Ronald Acuna (knee) and Jurickson Profar (suspension), Kelenic finds himself the odd man out in the club's outfield mix. He has slashed only .167/.231/.300 with a 35.4 percent strikeout rate this season and has done very little since arriving in Atlanta last season outside of one big month last June when he had a .900 OPS. Kelenic is still just 25 but is sitting on a career .658 OPS and 30.6 percent strikeout rate in 406 major-league games.

Atlanta designated Thompson for assignment Monday.

He'll cede his spot on the 40-man roster to outfielder Eddie Rosario, whom Atlanta signed to a one-year contract. The 31-year-old Thompson previously made two appearances out of the big-league bullpen earlier this month but had struggled since returning to Triple-A Gwinnett on April 16, giving up six runs (three earned) on seven hits and three walks over 4.1 innings.

Rosario signed a one-year contract with Atlanta on Monday.

Rosario will join Atlanta ahead of its three-game series in Colorado that begins Monday. The 33-year-old will begin his third stint in the Atlanta organization and could end up filling the strong side of a platoon in right field with Eli White until Ronald Acuna (knee) is ready to return from the injured list. Rosario struggled to a .531 OPS over 319 plate appearances between Washington and Atlanta in 2024 and logged four plate appearances with the Dodgers earlier this month before being cast off the 40-man roster and electing free agency. Before the Dodgers called him up April 18, the veteran outfielder had been hitting well at Triple-A Oklahoma City, slashing .339/.406/.542 with two home runs and three steals in 14 games.

Atlanta optioned Daniel to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

Daniel's stay with the big club lasted just one day, with the right-hander tossing a scoreless inning out of the bullpen in Sunday's 6-4 loss to Arizona following his call-up from Triple-A. He'll likely slot back into the rotation with Gwinnett.

Hernandez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Sunday in a 9-2 win against Pittsburgh.

Hernandez belted a solo shot to center field in the fifth inning. The veteran slugger went deep in each of the final two games of the weekend series, pushing his long-ball total to eight on the season. Hernandez is in the midst of a six-game hitting streak during which he's gone 9-for-25 (.360 batting average) with three home runs, three doubles, eight RBI and just one strikeout. His homer Sunday was the 200th regular-season long ball of his career, a feat reached by just 381 players in MLB history.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that the Dodgers are thinking about stretching out Casparius as a starter, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Roberts' comment came after Casparius improved his record to 3-0 by nabbing a win Sunday against Pittsburgh after taking over in the second inning for starter Tyler Glasnow, who was pulled due to a shoulder injury. Roberts said that Casparius "saved our tails" in regard to the righty's preservation of the bullpen and effective pitching -- he gave Los Angeles 3.2 scoreless frames, throwing 36 of 54 pitches for strikes and fanning five batters without issuing a walk. Casparius has been very effective as a whole this season, posting a 2.91 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 23:3 K:BB over 21.2 frames, and six of his 11 appearances have lasted two or more innings. Those numbers are all the remarkable given that the 26-year-old gave up six earned runs in a 1.2-inning outing against the Cubs on April 12; in Casparius' other 10 appearances combined, he's yielded just one run over 20 frames. The Dodgers' rotation depth is wearing thin due to shoulder injuries incurred by Glasnow and Blake Snell, though Tony Gonsolin (back) is expected to be activated from the IL ahead of a start Wednesday. Still, the team is likely to deploy a bullpen game Tuesday and is coming up on a stretch of 19 games in 20 days, so there may be an opening for Casparius to join the rotation at some point. He worked primarily as a starter in the minors, including in 2024, during which he started 19 of the 21 games in which he appeared between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Koss went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Rangers.

Koss lined a two-out RBI single into left field to tie the game at 2-2 in the fourth frame. The 27-year-old infielder owns a .333 batting average in his last five appearances after hitting .143 in his first seven. Koss has recorded a hit in each of the Giants' previous two games, receiving the starting nod at second base while Tyler Fitzgerald recovers from a chest contusion. Koss is now slashing .217/.280/.217 with four runs scored and a 1:8 BB:K across 26 plate appearances.
