Austin Hays LF | SD
Reds' Austin Hays: Having hamstring examined
Manager Terry Francona said Tuesday that Hays has a "tender" hamstring and will undergo further testing, Charlie Goldsmith of the Dayton Daily News reports.
Hays went 0-for-3 at the plate with a walk and run scored in Monday's win over the Cardinals and played the entire contest. It's unclear when he may have suffered the injury, but Hays is out of the lineup Tuesday and should be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Reds' Jeimer Candelario: Dealing with back issue
Manager Terry Francona said Tuesday that Candelario alerted the Reds about a lower back issue, and the team is having it looked at, Charlie Goldsmith of the Dayton Daily News reports.
Francona had already said earlier in the day that Candelario's role was going to be reduced, but the back issue could help explain the veteran infielder's early-season struggles at the plate. Through 91 plate appearances, Candelario is slashing .113/.198/.213 with four extra-base hits, 10 RBI and a 9:29 BB:K. Consider the 31-year-old day-to-day for now.

Carson Kelly C | CHC
Cubs' Carson Kelly: Slides up to cleanup spot
Kelly is starting at catcher and batting fourth in Tuesday's game against the Pirates.
The Cubs are shaking things up a bit, with the slumping Dansby Swanson dropping down to eighth in the order and Kelly moving up to the cleanup spot. The veteran catcher certainly deserves it, as he's sporting a spectacular 1.371 OPS through 15 appearances. Kelly has a career .699 OPS, so some regression is likely coming soon, but fantasy managers should enjoy the hot streak while it lasts.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Cubs' Dansby Swanson: Dropped to eighth in lineup
Swanson is batting eighth for Tuesday's game against the Pirates.
Swanson had batted fifth the last 27 games, but manager Craig Counsell is shaking things up a bit with Swanson scuffling at the plate. Over the last seven days, Swanson is slashing .200/.273/.350 with two extra-base hits and eight strikeouts. With Swanson moving down the order, Carson Kelly is moving up and batting cleanup against lefty Andrew Heaney.

Dennis Santana RP | ARI
Pirates' Dennis Santana: Lands on bereavement list
The Pirates placed Santana (personal) on the bereavement list Tuesday, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.
Santana will step away from the team for a few days in order to tend to a personal matter. David Bednar is back in the closer mix after a brief stint at Triple-A Indianapolis, and he'll be the favorite for saves while Santana is away from the club.

Hunter Stratton RP | SD
Pirates' Hunter Stratton: Recalled from Triple-A
The Pirates recalled Stratton from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Stratton -- who has allowed seven runs with a 9:4 K:BB in 11.2 innings with Indianapolis this season -- is taking the roster spot vacated by Dennis Santana, who was placed on the bereavement list. He will likely be up only for a few days while Santana is away.

Masyn Winn SS | STL
Cardinals' Masyn Winn: Batting second Tuesday
Winn is batting second for Tuesday's game against the Reds.
Winn has routinely batted in the nine hole for the Cardinals this season, but St. Louis is looking for a jolt on the road and shuffling the order some. With Winn hitting second, Victor Scott is in the nine hole. Since returning from the injured list, Winn has slashed .250/.304/.350 across 21 plate appearances.

Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH
Mets' Jeff McNeil: Not starting Tuesday
McNeil is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against Arizona.
With lefty Eduardo Rodriguez on the bump for the Diamondbacks, McNeil will take a seat. In three games since returning from the injured list, McNeil has already seen action at second base and in center and right field. Luisangel Acuna is starting at second Tuesday.
