Turang is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Astros.

Turang is out of the lineup for a second time during the three-game series. Brewers manager Pat Murphy indicated when Turang sat out Monday that the infielder was still regaining strength following an illness last week. It's possible that's still a factor in him not being in Wednesday's lineup, but southpaw Framber Valdez being on the bump for the Astros might be the main reason for the left-handed-hitting Turang's absence. Caleb Durbin is at second base Wednesday while Vinny Capra handles third base.

Civale (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville on Thursday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Civale suffered a setback with his left hamstring strain in early April that delayed his recovery, but he's progressed well enough since then to be cleared to pitch in games. He'll be pitching Thursday for the first time in more than six weeks, so the right-hander will likely require at least a couple rehab starts before returning from the 15-day injured list.

Contreras is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros after X-rays on his left hand confirmed a fractured middle finger, but he plans to continue playing through the injury, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The fracture is something that Contreras has evidently dealt with for a while, which could be contributing to the disappointing .242/.358/.331 batting line he's produced so far. Though he's not in the lineup Wednesday, Contreras could be available off the bench and should be back in the lineup for this weekend's series at Tampa Bay as either a catcher or designated hitter. The Brewers plan to construct a splint that will absorb some of the impact the finger takes, which should enable him to continue catching on a regular basis. Eric Haase will step in behind the plate Wednesday while Contreras sits for the series finale.

Chapman went 3-for-5 with two RBI, two runs scored, a double and a walk during Tuesday's 14-5 extra-innings win over the Cubs.

Chapman lined his fifth double of the season into left field off right-hander Colin Rea in the fifth inning. Additionally, the third baseman logged multiple RBI and runs scored for the second time this season, marking his first such performance since April 5. Chapman has recorded at least one hit in five of his last six games, slashing .348/.400/.652 with seven RBI, six runs scored, two homers, a double and a 2:4 BB:K across 25 plate appearances in that span.

Morejon (1-1) took the loss and was charged with a blown save against the Yankees on Tuesday, allowing four runs on three hits and one walk while retiring one batter in relief.

When Morejon entered in the seventh inning, San Diego was clinging to a one-run lead. By the end of the frame, New York racked up 10 runs, four of which were charged to the left-hander. Three of those crossed the plate after Morejon had departed, and the walk he issued was intentional, but it was nonetheless an uncharacteristically poor performance by the reliever given his previous results this season. Entering Tuesday, Morejon owned a 1.56 ERA and had held the opponent scoreless in 15 of his 17 appearances.

Brasier (groin) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Iowa on Wednesday, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Brasier made an appearance March 18 in the Cubs' season-opening series in Japan versus the Dodgers, but he landed on the shelf prior to the team's domestic opener due to a left groin strain. After missing more than a month of action, Brasier is ready to pitch in games again, but he'll likely require a handful of rehab appearances before rejoining the big-league bullpen.

Bailey is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

Bailey will get a breather for the day game after he caught all 11 innings of the Giants' 14-5 win on Tuesday night while going 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run. Sam Huff will handle the catching duties in the series finale in Chicago.

Triolo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

After making starts at either middle-infield spot in each of the last eight games, Triolo will take a seat for the series finale in St. Louis. Triolo could continue to serve as the Pirates' primary shortstop until Isiah Kiner-Falefa (hamstring) is cleared to return from the injured list, but Liover Peguero gets the nod Wednesday.

Miller (2-0) blew the save but earned the win in Tuesday's 14-5 extra-innings victory over the Cubs, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out two across 1.1 innings.

Miller entered the game with a 5-4 lead and two outs in the ninth, inheriting two runners and giving up a single that tied the game. However, the 27-year-old still picked up his second win of the 2025 campaign after tossing a scoreless 10th, as the Giants' offense followed with a franchise-record nine runs in a single inning. The left-hander hasn't been charged with a run in his last five outings and now owns a 0.73 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 11:8 K:BB across 12.1 innings in 14 appearances this season.

Garcia was charged with a blown save Tuesday against the Marlins, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out one batter over one inning.

Garcia entered in the bottom of the sixth inning with the Dodgers up one run, but by the end of the frame Miami had retaken the lead. The right-hander was hit pretty hard in the inning, as the Marlins managed two doubles and a single against him. Garcia pitched poorly at the beginning of the season but had been showing improvement prior to Tuesday, as he hadn't allowed a run over his previous eight innings spanning nine appearances. He's worked as a lower-leverage option for Los Angeles in his first campaign with the club.
