The Giants activated Lee (back) from the 10-day injured list, and he will start in right field and bat sixth against the Rockies on Friday, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports. • Giants' Jung Hoo Lee: Moves to injured list

The Giants placed Lee on the 10-day injured list Friday, retroactive to Tuesday, with a mid-back strain. Lee hasn't played since making an early exit from Monday's contest with what was initially labeled as back spasms. Upon further evaluation, the Giants determined the 27-year-old had suffered a strain, so they'll stash him away on the IL for at least a week. Will Brennan is a candidate to receive the bulk of starts in right field as long as Lee is sidelined, and Victor Bericoto will come up from Triple-A to replenish the big club's outfield depth.

Lee (leg) is starting in right field and batting sixth against the Dodgers on Wednesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Lee went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double and a strikeout in Friday's win over the Orioles. Lee launched his first homer of the season in the seventh inning off reliever Nick Raquet, and this was also just his second multi-hit game of the season. It has been a disappointing start to the season for the outfielder, who has gone just 8-for-46 in his first 14 contests, translating to a .174 average and a subpar .571 OPS. It's still early in the season, but the early returns for managers who drafted Lee have been underwhelming to say the least.
