Mark Vientos 1B | NYM
Mets' Mark Vientos: Slugs fifth homer
Vientos went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's win over the Cubs.
Getting the start at third base against Matthew Boyd, Vientos took the southpaw deep for a solo shot in the sixth inning. Brett Baty has started the last three games at the hot corner against right-handed pitching, but Vientos should see more action at DH in those matchups if he keeps hitting. Since returning from a minor groin injury April 22, the 25-year-old is slashing .313/.366/.500 over his last 17 games with three of his five homers and 11 of his 17 RBI on the year.

Mickey Moniak LF | COL
Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Enjoys strong homestand
Moniak went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a double Sunday against the Padres.
Moniak has at least one hit in six of his last seven games and went 7-for-22 with three RBI and two runs scored across Colorado's six-game homestand that concluded Sunday. He remains on the strong side of a platoon in right field and has started eight straight contests.

Rhett Lowder SP | CIN
Reds' Rhett Lowder: Completes second rehab start
Lowder (forearm) gave up five runs (four earned) on five hits and one walk while striking out five over three innings in his rehab start Sunday with High-A Dayton.
After covering three innings in his first rehab start in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Tuesday, Lowder shifted his assignment to the Midwest League for his second outing. Though he was capped at three innings once again, Lowder pushed up his pitch count to 63 (45 strikes). Lowder's final line wasn't especially impressive, though he was a victim of some bad luck on balls in play, as all five of the hits he allowed were singles. Lowder is likely to make at least one more start in the minors before the Reds decide whether he's ready to return from the 15-day injured list. Cincinnati could have a spot available in the rotation for Lowder once he's activated, as he might be viewed as an upgrade over Chase Petty for the No. 5 spot while the team waits for Hunter Greene (groin) to make his return from the IL.

Michael Kopech SP | LAD
Dodgers' Michael Kopech: Sharp in second rehab outing
Kopech (shoulder) struck out two batters and gave up one hit and no walks over a scoreless inning of relief in his second rehab appearance Sunday with Triple-A Oklahoma City.
After failing to record an out while issuing five walks and getting charged with five earned runs in his first rehab outing with Oklahoma City on Thursday, Kopech assuaged some of the concern about his health by delivering a strong performance Sunday. He touched 99.7 miles per hour with his fastball twice in his 14-pitch appearance, throwing 10 strikes while retiring three of the four batters he faced. Before kicking off his rehab assignment last week, Kopech hadn't pitched in a game setting since the World Series last fall while recovering from a right shoulder impingement, so he'll likely require at least a few more outings in the minors before the Dodgers bring him back from the 60-day injured list.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Swipes fourth bag
Hayes went 2-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base Sunday against Atlanta.
Hayes hit atop the Pirates' order with Oneil Cruz (back) sidelined and lefty Chris Sale on the mound. He swiped his fourth stolen base of the season, his first since April 14 and only second since Opening Day. Overall, Hayes is hitting a decent .253 across 157 plate appearances, but he has just five extra-base hits.

Joey Bart C | CHW
Pirates' Joey Bart: Strong weekend series
Bart went 2-for-5 with two RBI on Sunday against Atlanta.
Bart went hitless in Friday's game against Atlanta but closed the series 6-for-12 with three RBI, serving as the catcher in all three contests. He has maintained a .291 average and .411 on-base percentage across 124 plate appearances this season, though he has only six extra-base hits.
-
Alexander Canario LF | PIT
Pirates' Alexander Canario: Three straight starts
Canario went 1-for-2 with a walk and a double Sunday against Atlanta.
Canario has slowly taken over as Pittsburgh's starting left fielder since the start of May, but the team appears to be committed to giving him a consistent shot in three games since Don Kelly took over as manager. He has started each of those matchups while hitting in the bottom third of the order. Canario provides some needed pop to the Pittsburgh lineup, and he has three extra-base hits in that three-game span.

German Marquez SP | SD
Rockies' German Marquez: Picks up first win in 2025
Marquez (1-6) got the win Sunday over the Padres, allowing one run on three hits and a walk while striking out two in seven innings.
The Padres had two of their three hits and strung together their only run against Marquez in the opening frame. Following a two-out single by Gavin Sheets in the first, Marquez went on to retire 17 batters in a row before Sheets knocked another single off him in the seventh. Sunday was Marquez's first time reaching seven innings since Sept. 16 of 2022. He had a 9.90 ERA coming into Sunday's start and has lowered that to 8.27. He'll face Arizona on the road this weekend.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Leaves yard again Sunday
McMahon went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, two walks and three runs scored in Sunday's win over the Padres.
McMahon capped off his strong weekend with a solo home run in the eighth to extend the Rockies lead. He's now homered four times this month and has raised his OPS to .736 after posting a .508 OPS in March/April. In his last seven games, McMahon is hitting .500/.607/1.091 with a 6:5 BB:K. He's notoriously been more effective in Denver and will aim to keep his hot bat going this week despite the Rockies having all their games on the road.

Hunter Goodman C | COL
Rockies' Hunter Goodman: Drives in five runs
Goodman went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer, a triple, a double, five RBI and three runs scored in Sunday's win over the Rockies.
Goodman got his day started with a three-run blast in the opening frame. He followed that up with a two-run triple in the third and a double in the seventh, leaving him only a single shy of hitting for the cycle. Since April 25, Goodman is hitting .349/.373/.556 with two homers, 13 RBI and 11 runs scored. He's maintained an aggressive approach at the plate, as it's been 63 plate appearances since his last walk, but he's been one of the few bright spots for this dismal Rockies team and has produced solid numbers both in Denver (.827 OPS) and on the road (.846 OPS) this year.
