Lopez (6-0) picked up the win Friday against the Orioles, giving up two hits and striking out one in a scoreless eighth inning.

Once again, the veteran right-hander was in the right place at the right time to vulture a victory, as Lopez entered the game with the score tied 3-3 and watched unlikely hero Nasim Nunez drive home the winning run in the top of the ninth on an infield single. Lopez is tied with five starting pitchers for the major-league lead in wins, a list that includes Max Fried, Hunter Brown and Robbie Ray, but that's come at a price for his fantasy investors -- he has a 7.20 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 14:6 K:BB through 20 innings.

Nunez went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's win over the Orioles.

Starting at second base and batting ninth, Nunez made a diving catch on a Gunnar Henderson line drive for the first out in the bottom of the first inning, and he continued to make an impact the rest of the night, both on offense and on defense. The switch-hitting utility player had just one plate appearance in May coming into Friday, but with Amed Rosario (leg) banged up and Paul DeJong (face) still more than a month away from his expected return, Nunez could find his way into the lineup more often in the short term.

Berti isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

Berti has gone 0-for-16 with six strikeouts across his last five games. He'll get a chance to regroup Saturday while Vidal Brujan starts at third base and bats ninth.

Kelly isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

Kelly will give way to Miguel Amaya behind the plate Saturday after going 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Friday's win.

Lowe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's win over the Orioles.

The first baseman got the Nats on the board by depositing a Cade Povich sweeper over the right-field fence in the second inning. It was Lowe's eighth homer of the season, but he's been struggling to produce in May -- over his last nine games, he's gone just 3-for-33 (.091).

Gore escaped with a no-decision in Friday's win over the Orioles, giving up two runs on 10 hits and two walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out nine.

It was a bizarrely historic performance for the southpaw, as per Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post, it was the first time in MLB history a pitcher threw fewer than four innings while recording at least 10 hits allowed and nine Ks. Gore's control has begun to regress, as he's issued nine walks in 15.1 innings over his last three starts, but that's come with 25 strikeouts and a palatable 4.11 ERA. He leads the majors with 84 Ks, 10 ahead of Zack Wheeler, and he'll look to tighten things up in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against Atlanta.

Fitzgerald (rib) went 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored and a walk in Friday's 9-1 win over the Athletics.

Fitzgerald was placed on the 10-day injured list May 1 due to a left rib fracture but was reinstated Friday after a brief rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento. The 27-year-old infielder drew a walk in the third inning before coming around to score on a grand slam by Wilmer Flores. Fitzgerald also lined his fifth double of the 2025 campaign. He's now slashing .286/.348/.440 with two homers, five steals, 15 runs scored, seven RBI and a 7:22 BB:K across 94 plate appearances this season.

Sanchez went 1-for-3 with two walks and three runs scored in Friday's win over the Rays.

Getting the start in right field and batting leadoff, Sanchez crossed the plate in the first, fourth and sixth innings in a comfortable 9-4 victory. It was the 27-year-old outfielder's first time this season at the very top of the order, as Xavier Edwards (back) got the night off Friday, but Sanchez has mainly been batting second against right-handed pitching and has produced a .364 OBP over his last 10 games. Those on-base skills have come with a surprising lack of power, however -- Sanchez doesn't have an extra-base hit in May, and after slugging a career-high 18 homers in 2024, he has only one long ball through 25 games in 2025.

Henriquez struck out one in a perfect sixth inning Friday to record his fifth hold of the season in a win over the Rays.

The back of the Marlins' bullpen has been something of a mess so far this season, but Henriquez has been one of the few bright spots. The 24-year-old righty was claimed off waivers from Minnesota during spring training and has delivered a 2.14 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 28:12 K:BB through his first 18 appearances and 21 innings with Miami. Jesus Tinoco, Calvin Faucher and Anthony Bender have been manager Clayton McCullough's most frequently used high-leverage arms, but Henriquez is making a push to join that group.

Alvarez isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

After going 0-for-2 with two walks and a run scored in Friday's series opener, Alvarez will step out of the lineup Saturday to give Luis Torrens a chance to start behind the dish.
