Rom (shoulder) was activated from the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Memphis on Monday.

Rom made a rehab start with Memphis on Sunday, tossing four scoreless innings with a 4:2 K:BB. Coming back from soreness in his surgically repaired left shoulder/biceps, Rom yielded only two runs (one earned) with a promising 17:2 K:BB across 13 rehab innings. He'll give St. Louis rotation depth at Memphis.

Mathews (shoulder) has been sent to the rookie-level Florida Complex League Cardinals to begin a rehab assignment.

It had been reported that Mathews would make a start for the FCL Cardinals last week, but it appears his first appearance for them will come this week. The left-hander has been shelved since mid-April with mild left shoulder soreness but is now ready to pitch in games. Mathews will eventually move back up to Triple-A Memphis once the Cardinals feel he's ready.

Acuna (knee) is set to continue his rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett to begin the week, but he could be a candidate to return from the 10-day injured list ahead of Atlanta's three-game series with the Padres that begins Friday, Lindsay Crosby of AthlonSports.com reports.

Atlanta has yet to offer word on when Acuna might be cleared to return from the IL to make his 2025 debut with the big club, but his 20-day rehab window will come to an end June 2. He seems likely to return from the IL before then, but a firm target date may not come into focus until Atlanta has a chance to reassess his surgically repaired left knee after at least a couple more games. Thus far over his four rehab games between the Triple-A club and the rookie-level Florida Complex League, Acuna has gone 4-for-9 with two solo home runs, a double and a stellar 6:0 BB:K, but he has yet to attempt a stolen base over his 15 plate appearances. He's made three of his four rehab starts as an outfielder but has yet to play a full nine innings on defense, and he may need to play two nine-inning games in right field on back-to-back days before Atlanta brings him back from the IL.

Allen went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Red Sox.

The 26-year-old shortstop swiped his sixth bag of the year, although it's taken him 10 attempts to get there. Allen has taken over the starting job for Atlanta primarily due to his defense -- he ranks in the 100th percentile in fielding range, per Statcast -- but he's providing a smidge of fantasy value in deeper formats with a .260/.324/.293 slash line, 10 RBI and 11 runs over 40 games.

Olson went 2-for-3 with a walk, two doubles, a run scored and an RBI in Sunday's win over the Red Sox.

The first baseman has reeled off three straight multi-hit performances, with four of his seven hits during that stretch going for extra bases including homers Friday and Saturday. Those were Olson's multi-hit efforts in May however, as he began the month slashing .173/.254/.365 with a 35.6 percent strikeout rate in 14 games. Despite that cold spell, he has respectable power numbers on the year with nine homers and 25 RBI in 47 contests, and he's more than capable to stretching his current heater straight through into June.

Verdugo went 3-for-5 with a walk and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Red Sox.

The veteran outfielder put together his best performance in May as Atlanta's leadoff hitter. Verdugo's mostly struggled this month however, slashing just .210/.269/.258 through 16 contests, and he's still looking for his first homer of the season after 26 games. It's still not clear when Ronald Acuna (knee) might be activated from the injured list, but Verdugo's window for proving he deserves to keep a starting job once the superstar is ready to make his 2025 debut is rapidly closing.

Palmquist is scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Phillies at Coors Field.

Palmquist will remain in the rotation for at least one more turn after he was summoned from Triple-A Albuquerque last week to take over the starting spot that belonged to Bradley Blalock, who had been filling in for the injured Ryan Feltner (back). The 24-year-old southpaw made his MLB debut on the road Friday in Arizona, taking a loss while giving up five earned runs on six hits and one walk over four innings. Palmquist won't make for a comfortable streaming option Wednesday when he pitches at Coors Field for the first time, and he could be at risk of a demotion to Triple-A after the start if Feltner is able to make a minor-league rehab appearance within the next few days and is deemed ready to return from the injured list the following week.

Parker (knee) will make his next start Tuesday versus Atlanta at Nationals Park.

Parker's previous start (also against Atlanta) was cut short last Wednesday, when he was struck in the left knee by a 107.2 mile-per-hour comebacker off the bat of Austin Riley midway through the fifth inning. According to Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com, Parker was able to make his between-starts bullpen session Friday without issue, so he's not expected to be operating with any restrictions Tuesday. Through his first nine starts of the season, Parker owns a 3-3 record, 4.32 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 32:24 K:BB across 50 innings.

Atlanta activated Strider (hamstring) from the 15-day injured list Monday.

Atlanta is idle Monday, but Strider is expected to make his return to the rotation Tuesday with a start against the Nationals on the road. The right-hander missed nearly a month of action with a strained hamstring and was cleared to return after completing a 65-pitch simulated game last week. Strider probably won't be ready for a full workload Tuesday, and his velocity was down a tick during the sim game. However, he gets a favorable matchup Tuesday and is also lined up for a second start later this week at home versus the Padres, so fantasy managers will want to include him in active lineups.

The Cubs are expected to recall Shaw from Triple-A Iowa prior to Monday's game in Miami, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Shaw was demoted in mid-April after slashing only .172/.294/.241 across 68 plate appearances, but he got back on track at Iowa with a .970 OPS, six home runs, five steals and an 11:17 K:BB over 24 contests. He will get another shot at being the Cubs' everyday third baseman, while Jon Berti transitions back into a utility role.
